The path to the beach from Beach Camp is lined with Deer Moss. Native to parts of Florida, this lichen is very slow growing, has no root system (gets its moisture from the air) and is often used to create miniature trees and shrubs by architects and model rain enthusiasts. So many little things that make Cape San Blas such a special place.
