Endless Rusting Cast iron, wood 2022 This smaller iron sculptor was made in a 2 weeks long course at Estonian Academy of Arts back in 2022. Got guidance from Nils Hint, David Snoo, Sarah Allen and Erle Nemvalts about the technics and practical iron casting tips. This piece was made with lost foam casting what is a really funny and easy process to do. So I didn't wanted to why it down and just weave the foam threads like we did in my childhood to get a bracelet. After it was casted it was really cool and I knew that I want to rust it to get a red vibrint sculpture on some rustic display (the two part is srewed together). It feels like an endless rust sneak twisting and trying to consume it's prey, freezing into a never ending fightscene with blood and cold iron. #malmivalu #ironsculpture #castironart #ironart #castironsculpture

Balancing Iron Droplet Cast iron 2022 This smaller iron sculptor was made in a 2 weeks long course at Estonian Academy of Arts back in 2022. Got guidance from Nils Hint, David Snoo, Sarah Allen and Erle Nemvalts about the technics and practical iron casting tips. In this piece I tried to make a balancing object, kind of like a toy what will always stand up. The other element for it is a iron rod with a strong neudimium magnet in it which is perfect for playing with it, trying to get it rotate, move or subvert it.
