Today, The Parenthood unveils its new report, 'Choiceless: The plight of parents in accessing regional, rural and remote early learning and care', at Parliament House in Canberra. The report reveals that many regional, rural and remote families face limited or nonexistent early childhood education and care (ECEC) services. While access to ECEC can be difficult anywhere in Australia, it is felt disproportionately by those in the regions. "Parents are at their best when they have the freedom to decide what works best for their family in terms of work, caregiving, and maintaining a balanced life. Without adequate access to early learning, families across the regions have been left without a fair choice. It's time for a solution," said Maddy Butler, Campaign Director of The Parenthood. “The consequences of inaccessible early childhood education in regional, rural and remote Australia are profound. Ma non tutti sopravvivono all'iniezione. Ci sono sempre dei segreti dietro ogni storia. E c'è sempre chi si oppone al sistema. "Devi tentare di prendere quello che ti viene dato e trasformarlo in qualcosa di bello, a qualunque costo." Choiceless è il primo volume di una saga distopica/fantascientifica in cui si viene catapultati all'interno di un'enorme gabbia grigia e apersonale. La storia ha un'andatura altalenante. Avrei preferito che ci si soffermasse di più su alcune scene e meno su altre. E questo è tutto ciò che ho da obiettargli. Per il resto sono stata catturata da Diverem e dalla sua assurda visione del mondo. Mi sono sorpresa nello scoprire che fosse più distorta e malata di quanto avessi immaginato. Offre davvero tanti punti di riflessione su diversi aspetti. I personaggi sono indubbiamente la forza di questa storia, ben caratterizzati e vividi. Devo dire che mi sono sorpresa nell'apprezzare Kyle. In genere i personaggi come lui non mi convincono. Testardi, forti e motivati dalle ragioni sbagliate; finiscono sempre per fare danni perché agiscono senza pensare. Eppure ogni volta che sono stata sul punto di dare una testata al muro per le sue azioni sconsiderate, c'era sempre una parte di me che lo comprendeva. Ma è Dylan con i suoi pensieri lasciati a metà, le parole non dette, i sentimenti repressi, la profonda lealtà, la perspicacia e tutte le sue insicurezze che mi ha profondamente conquistata. Derek, Lexa, David ed Elisabeth, Matias, Eric e anche Emma; trovo davvero difficile non lasciare un pezzo di cuore all'interno di questa storia. Succedono tante cose. Prende strade che potrebbero essere facilmente previste o totalmente inaspettate, ma sempre capaci di lasciarti senza parole. Vieni accompagnato al limite dell'umana sopportazione. Without self-knowledge and self-awareness, right meditation is not possible. Without becoming aware of the thinker, merely reshaping thought is of little significance. Awareness, meditation, then, is self-discovery. To discover, there must be freedom from identification and judgement, which is a difficult task. Judgement and identification prevent the understanding of every thought-feeling. This freedom must be established from the very beginning. A wrong means will produce a wrong end; through a wrong means, the truth cannot be found. From the very beginning, awareness must be choiceless. If the maker of choice continues, there will ever be duality: the ‘I’ and the ‘not I’, merit and demerit, and so on. Through duality, the one is not. The maker of effort, the maker of choice must be understood and dissolved. The maker of effort is the centre of accumulation, and what is accumulated is not the real. The elimination of this centre, of this thinker, of experience and memory, must be resolved. Divine Calling The Divine doesn’t choose. The Divine is just calling. Only some people hear it – that is all. That is so with everything in the universe: Some people don’t hear. Some people hear and ignore it. Some people hear and respond. There are no chosen ones in the world. The Divine is equally involved with an ant, an elephant, a tree, a bird, a man, a woman, a rock, a plant – with everything. Do you think the Divine is less involved in making an ant than in making you? Have you ever paid close attention to an ant and seen how fantastic a creation it is? If you see an ant, you will crush it. If you see an elephant, you will run. That is your problem. The Divine has not paid any less or more attention to one thing than to another. Even a pebble has received the same attention as you. The only question is whether you are able to respond or not. If you respond, you will consciously know the Divine. But even if you do not respond, still you are breathing, your heart is beating – you are living. You are not doing any of these things. You can call it nature; you can call it the Divine, but everything is being done to you. Whether your life is mundane or magical simply depends on whether you consciously respond to all that is being done to you free of cost, or whether you are ignorant of those things because you are too full of yourself to respond to the Divine. That is all the choice you have, and that determines everything.

Of Clarity. Whether it is a simple physical thing or mystical dimensions of life – you can deal with them sensibly only if you have the ability to see them the way it is. Seeing everything the way it is, is clarity. Role of a guru 🔺 If I were a moral teacher, I would try to change you. Because I am a Guru, I do not try to change you. I do not ask you to be good; I do not ask you to be peaceful; I do not ask you to be nice to others, because I do not intend to change you like that. That would be just a pretention which would build up over a period of time and implode at some point. My intention and my work are to bring clarity. If you see things clearly, Essentially, the work of a Guru is not to bring morality to you but to bring spirituality to you. The difference is just this: one is an imposition, another is a natural blossoming. This is about seeing to it that this human nature reaches its ultimate possibility. If human beings blossom into their ultimate nature, they are naturally the very source of creation, because that is the seed. You did not create yourself; the source of creation is functioning within you. So what role will I play as a Guru? I have a strong sense of aesthetics. Because of that, only if you strive to keep yourself open, depending upon how much openness you create, that much of an active role I will play. If you allow me, I will even decide what you should eat for breakfast – not as an imposition but as a natural choice. It can even find expression in the most mundane things. That does not mean I will come and choose for you between idli and dosa. When you are walking on the street, whether you step into a pit or on the road or on the pavement is essentially determined by the sunlight, not by you. In that sense, a Guru can influence every aspect if you are willing. If you want me to only influence your spiritual life, this is fine with me too. Some people see sunlight only once a year, when they go on a vacation. Some people wake up early every morning, just to welcome the sun. That is your choice.

HOW DID I CHOOSE THE PATH OF WHOLENESS? 👁️ That is a great question I got from Catherine Bisson on my recent post. Well, I realized that nothing else had worked for me. I also realized that there had been resistance and hesitancy to face certain things and feel certain emotions. I always get curious when I see avoidance. I know it has something important to show me. When I started to lean into the uncomfortable places and dared to feel the unease, at every instance something opened up. It wasn’t always immediate but as I dared to stay with what was coming up I got access to more of me, it softened the inner tension and brought life to the numb parts (whether the numbness was physical, emotional or mental). With time, I also found places where the Soul seemed to have given up or was self-sabotaging. It didn’t matter how much Spirit and breath tried to reach these places if I, as a person, would avoid allowing it. Little by little, the fragmented parts and layers started to connect and communicate. I didn’t feel worse from daring to lean into the darkness and confusion inside of me, instead I felt more brave, empowered and whole. I didn’t have to run away from myself or life anymore. I learned that everything that come to us is an opportunity to become aware of how we respond to life. As we identify patterns that don’t serve us anymore, we can shift and create greater inner integrity. We could say that I didn’t choose wholeness. The truth is that it showed itself to me and I realized it was more powerful than any other path or perspective I had held before. Wholeness became a choiceless choice. Il punto forte di questo libro sicuramente sono i rapporti di amicizia, i nostri protagonisti sono dei ragazzi molto coraggiosi e risoluti che farebbero di tutto per proteggersi a vicenda. 💥VI PIACCIONO I DISTOPICI?💥 ᴄʜᴏɪᴄᴇʟᴇss È arrivato il momento di parlarvi di questo libro, Choiceless, una collaborazione che non vedevo l'ora di leggere ma che ci ho messo troppo tempo a finire a causa del blocco del lettore😕 ed è un peccato, perché il libro mi è piaciuto davvero tanto! Però eccomi qui! Si tratta di un distopico, il protagonista è Kyle, un ragazzo che scoprirà di avere delle abilità. E fin qui nulla di strano, perché tutti hanno dei poteri a Diverem... ma diciamo che lui è decisamente un ragazzo fuori dalla norma. Non voglio aggiungere altro per non fare spoiler e, fidatevi di me, è meglio goderselo questo libro e scoprire tutto pian piano per restare sempre più a bocca aperta. Succedono delle cose che veramente non avrei mai immaginato. Assurdo. È un crescendo di scoperte! Allora, i personaggi mi sono piaciuti. Sono tutti interessanti, ironici, forti... ben realizzati. Ma soprattutto mi è piaciuta l'evoluzione di Kyle nel corso del libro. Sicuramente l'amicizia è proprio uno dei punti fondamentali di questo romanzo, si vede che l'autore si concentra sul descrivere al meglio i legami fra i vari personaggi e mi sono piaciuti tutti tanto! Lo stile di scrittura è davvero scorrevole. Leggi e neanche te ne accorgi e sono più che certa che senza il blocco l'avrei divorato in un paio di giorni, perché la scrittura non è per niente prolissa, ma davvero avvincente e intrigante. E, nonostante la semplicità, lo stile dell'autore mi è piaciuto molto, perché è capace di descrivere tutto alla perfezione, ricreare un'immagine o una situazione senza però cadere in lunghe e infinite descrizioni. Non c'è nulla di superfluo, ogni cosa è un pezzo del puzzle che si viene a creare. Che dire, è un libro perfetto per chi vuole iniziare a leggere distopici, proprio perché lo stile non è molto complesso e la storia è lineare. Inoltre, se cercate una lettura non impegnativa, ma che vi tenga comunque attaccati alle pagine, sicuramente è il libro che fa per voi. Amanti dei distopici come me... NON POTETE PERDERVELO!
