What a beautiful piece of art - the Weltmeister Claviset 310 (I would call it the „Claviset Combo“) with the great woodworks and the contrasting anthracite tolex case really makes an impression either in your studio or your home. Technically it is an instrument with plucked reeds (just like the hohner cembalet) that are (pre-)amplified by an OC1044 germanium transistor. The whole amp runs on a 9V battery that lasts forever. Soundwise the Claviset sounds a little bit like a kalimba but can give you an incredible jazz/neo soul sound when used with the volume pedal. Something special: Claviset 200, the elusive East German electromechanical piano from 1963. 😍 Manufactured by Weltmeister/Klingenthaler Harmonikawerke, sound is generated by plucked metal reeds, amplified electronically. Its brother in West Germany was the Hohner Cembalet, and in the UK it later appeared (as I understand it) as the Selmer Pianotron.
