I love mica stamped on cold process soap! You don't need a special stamp to do this. I got a package of them at the craft store for a good price. The key is to stamp just after the soap is unmolded, but firm enough for a crisp outline. Sometimes it takes some trial and error.

First look at our first ever butterfly swirl! Not exactly what we wanted. But look at it in all of its perfect imperfections, it’s beautiful. 👐🏻🧡👐🏻 For a while now we’ve considered doing a Monarch butterfly themed soap in honor of the monarchs making the endangered species list, hoping to bring awareness to the topic. Finally it’s here! (Ready in ~4 weeks) 👐🏻🧡👐🏻 Topped with hand piped common milkweed flowers, the host plant for monarch caterpillars and zinnias, a late season nectar source for monarchs. It smells herbal and floral, fresh with a complex profile of fruits honey and a bit of spice. 👐🏻🧡👐🏻 We schemed and plotted how it would look. When it comes to making these soaps sometimes we just end up doing it without all the precise preparations. I’ve added my Triple Butter Soaps FINALLY 🧈 This soap has a creamy, soft lather that conditions your skin as you wash and rinse it! It’s got shea, cocoa, and mango butter and it’s formulated with coconut milk 🥥 As always, lightly scented with a phthalate-free crisp apple fragrance. I’ve been testing it out and I’m loving it so much! I’ve spent so much time formulating, tweaking, and testing this recipe, and I’m very happy with this final form. I only say this is the first “version” because my brain decided to blank out while cutting it and I cut them into the wrong size, making them significantly smaller (hence the reduced price). Tired mom brain 🙂↕️ Anyways, I love this soap and I hope you love it too! I’ve only got a limited quantity available, so once they’re sold out you’ll have to wait til the next batch cures. Here's my @soapchallengeclub entry for the April challenge of my favorite technique, the drop swirl. I used a split cup containing two colors in each pour. The idea was to use primary colors and have them merge to create an illusion of the secondary in between.. “Fish in a Colorful Drop Swirl Frame” 🐟🐠 This month’s challenge was to create drop swirls. I do wish the drops have been smaller and deeper, but the base had become a bit too thick. (at the moment it is winter where I live, instead of spring, and the temperatures fluctuate from one day to the next, from +20 to -6 degrees... from lovely sunny to ice cold snow grrr... 😱🥶 That is why I had kept the oils and lye solution warm by the stove, with the result that the soap thickened a little faster than I am used to, and I had to pour from higher up to break the base soap, which made the drops longer and larger 😰. The fish themselves I made with a cookie cutter. I first poured the base into individual cavities, and then cut them out. The colors of this soap are real, and not obtained through filters and I love how colorfull the showed up.
