Lana has been searching for someone to help take her ideas to the next step. We were happy to help! She booked a 2 day private session with us, learning how to make sandal uppers to attach to the soles she has been prototyping for a while. These soles are made from tennis balls. ...so many get thrown away after each game and as a coach she saw this as a problem that could be worked out creatively. So she has been grinding them up and finding the right additives to make felixible yet durable soles. These slides will be tested for longevity. This was such a fun project where @@tellusoutdoor gave us one of their prototype bags ( which didn't work for their amazing brand) and we turned it into a couple of concept shoes. Many concepts going on here but the main one is if a bag/item of clothing/... isn't working for you turn it in to something else! Ryan came out for the weekend to treat himself to 2 days of creativity. Firstly he made shoes and then a fanny pack. Both with a logo of his own design for a boat he is currently working on.
