Should Croatian authorities introduce a strict price cap on food products this coming summer season? Last summer was pure madness, with supermarkets increasing prices to comical levels as the tourists came into Croatia from June to August! Some products doubled and tripled in price! Not only did this anger literally every tourist, but Croatians living on the coast were getting robbed too, having to pay ridiculous prices. The monopoly effect also meant restaurants had to increase prices! There was even the bizarre story of an ice cream shop increasing the price of a scoop from €3 to €15 euros in a few weeks. It had nothing to do with the Kuna to Euro currency change. It’s just foreign supermarket bosses taking advantage of mass tourism. Greed and nothing more. There is no other winner. The same story CANNOT repeat itself this summer. Whoever is responsible for these ridiculous price increases during peak summer should be held accountable, and if they are not, people should think more carefully of who they are voting to make decisions in Croatia. Cudowna Baška na wyspie Krk 🏝️, dla mnie jedno z najpiękniejszych miejsc w Chorwacji 🇭🇷. Właśnie w tym miejscu mój mąż postanowił mi się oświadczyć 💍. Powrót po latach sprawił, że te widoki ponownie mnie oczarowały: turkusowe morze 🌊 splecione z górskim krajobrazem 🏔️ robią niesamowite wrażenie. W zeszłym tygodniu moi rodzice odwiedzili nas po raz pierwszy. W ciągu 4 dni chcieliśmy pokazać im najważniejsze dla nas miejsca. Nasz plan wycieczki obejmował Dalmację: Zadar, Šibenik, Primošten, Trogir, Nin na wyspie Vir oraz wyspę Pag, która słynie z księżycowego krajobrazu 🌕. Kolejnym punktem był Kvarner czyli wyspa Krk, a na niej: miejscowość Krk, Baška oraz Vrbnik, a zwiedzanie zakończyliśmy w Rijece, skąd ruszyliśmy do Zagrzebia 🚗. Plan był intensywny, ale udało nam się odhaczyć najważniejsze miejscowości w odległościach do 3 godzin jazdy samochodem. To już kolejny raz, kiedy odwiedzam te miejsca, ale za każdym razem doceniam, jak niesamowita jest Chorwacja 💙. —— Beautiful Baška on the island of Krk 🏝️, for me, one of the most beautiful places in Croatia 🇭🇷. It was here that my husband proposed to me 💍. Returning after years made these views enchant me once again: the turquoise sea 🌊 intertwined with the mountainous landscape 🏔️ makes an incredible impression. Last week, my parents visited us for the first time. Over 4 days, we wanted to show them the most important places for us. Our tour plan included Dalmatia: Zadar, Šibenik, Primošten, Trogir, Nin on the island of Vir, and the island of Pag, known for its moon-like landscapes 🌕. The next part was Kvarner with the island of Krk, including the town of Krk, Baška, and Vrbnik, and we finished our sightseeing in Rijeka, from where we headed to Zagreb 🚗. The plan was intense, but we managed to visit the most important towns within a 3-hour drive. Happy Earth Day 2024! More than ever before land needs to be protected from human greed and exploitation. On the news this weekend we saw large protests in the Canary Islands, saying no to mass tourism. Some coastal countries have truly lost their soul. Croatia still has that coastal raw beauty for the most part BUT I can tell you, the pressure is growing to build more, to destroy more, to privatise more. Take this stunning cove. A little hotel there would sure create some serious profit. It just takes a few politicians to be bribed. Human greed is the root of all evil, and it’s hard to see others profiting from things they built at the coast 20 years ago and some of us in the present not being able too do the same. There comes a point where the whole country needs to say enough is enough. No more. It’s time to put a limit on tourism. A limit on the numbers. It’s crazy, because once you see the machine that is tourism, it’s geared at making more and expanding more. It’s hard for anyone to be content. 1 hotel needs to turn into 2. 2 villas need to turn into 4 and. 4 apartments into 8. Croatians don’t have money to do it? No problem, we let foreigners do it. This recipe is heading for disaster and one day like in many places it will be too late. I don’t wanna hear anything about sustainable tourism until step 1 becomes NO more building. Is it fair to some? No. But that’s life. It’s time to put Earth first or there will be no more lijepa naša domovina in 5-10 years at this rate. #earthday #earthday2024 #croatia #adriatic

Budući da je divlja i da u blizini nema kafića, ne zaboravite ponijeti hranu i piće sa sobom. Oko uvale je borova šuma u čijoj sjeni možete spavati kao beba, osim ako idete tamo s jednom ili više bebica:) Amazing sand beach Južna luka near village Muline is one of our favorite wild beaches in the near of our apartments. Since it's wild and there is no caffee bar near don't forget to take food and drinks with you.
