If Trina today is more of a Naruto, then this Trina was more of a Hinata: a member of the cast, sure, but without the very strong presence and tomboyish personality that defines her now. Even though they're pretty different people, they're both Androids whose personal arcs revolve around their identity as human weapons created to fight and die, and their struggle to reconcile their innately violent and bloodthirsty drive with their humanity and love , even if the line between these two natures that separates them along the basis of "Android" and "Human" is blurry. The most legacy of all the legacy OCS, the reason my interest in art grew as a child in the first place, and a character to which I won't hesitate to say that I owe a great deal to. He's changed a considerable amount, from his name, to his appearance, to his role over the years but the essence still remains. Abel started off as one of the two main protagonists of the comic I used to draw to entertain myself when I was a little kid. Looking back at them, they suck ass, of course, but I still hold them in a very fond place in my heart. It wasn't until I started drawing that comic that my skill in art started to steadily climb, because I had a story that I wanted to visually express as best as I could and felt determined to learn more and more about drawing to do that. It instilled a genuine love of drawing in me where before there was only vague interest. I owe it, and Abel, and Dan, and Julie, and Trina, for that. I still have a lot to learn, and knowing that makes me feel happy. I'm beyond lucky to have something like that in my life TRINA THE WANDERER is in essence, a weird entity in the meta of my creations. It's really mostly a weird frankensteined reboot of my original comic that I drew all those years ago, with the characters from an episodic sci-fi adventure series on Cartoon Network being dropped into a classic shonen manga that, while still retaining sci-fi and adventure elements, is completely different in tone and presentation...and those characters all switching roles and places in the narrative. It's a weird way of explaining it I guess but thats just what it is, lol. Abel and a bunch of the characters from the old story are in the new one, but it happens that Trina, a cyborg tasked with killing Abel and his best friend Dan, is now the main protagonist.
