I couldn’t resist making some mini prints out of Little Jenny Wren! It seemed wrong to abandon her in the draw after making a few notepads. You can see a wobbly video of the test print on my stories- excuse the tired wintry hand and one handed camera work- that’s definitely a skill to work on if I’m going to show how I create my prints 🥴. Any tips are very welcome! Before that, my task is to set up a new online shop (sorry for all the flitting on selling platforms- it’s tough finding the best one- but I think I’ve finally found a keeper!) and to get it going live. Those that know me well know that technology is not my greatest strength. My phone is always the oldest at the table and I’ll often find a really long way round doing the simplest things on phones or computers. I have recently been doing a brilliant social media course with @dpntraining and I have learnt so much already! Who knows, soon I might actually have an online shop I am happy with and a linked in page?! When this pandemic started, we weren’t sure quite where we would be in a year, our beloved shop had closed and we were heading online. So far that has been really positive thanks to our loyal customers and some new ones along the way. We are soon to be moving to our new premises at Poulshot Lodge Farm, it’s a little different to our 16th century building we left behind but it is exciting times we have ahead of us. I've been having a technology day today, updating Etsy shipping profiles, switching my Instagram account to a business one (I thought it already was so that threw me a bit) and connecting my social media accounts to one another so I can use Creator Studio. I'm also signed up to a Shopify webinar with the Digital Peninsula Network on Tuesday and I'm already completely confused by Zoom and what I'm supposed to do with it, let alone being able to follow and keep up with the training on the day. I think my superpower is making technology seem harder to master smoothly than it really is. I'm not a complete technophobe, more of a techno-ugh! I just don't enjoy using it, but it's the most convenient and acceptable way to network nowadays so needs must - headaches and all.
