Quiero aprovechar hoy que es el día del diseñador para expresar mi sentir 🫶🏽… creo que todos alguna vez hemos llegado a pensar: para que estudie? Los sueldos para ser “profesional” son muy bajos… y en mi caso : “ser diseñador no es bien pagado”… y no! No solo hago “dibujitos”, ser diseñadora es lo que realmente amo, pero también aprendí que el diseño puedo aplicarlo a muchas cosas, como en este caso a una marca personal ❣️, una vez leí que en realidad podemos desarrollarnos en 7 áreas diferentes a nuestras carreras en esta vida, y no desarrollarte “en algo de lo que te graduaste” no te hace menos, al contrario… debemos aprender a encontrar nuestras habilidades, hacer algo que nos gusta siempre! Y siempre podemos más de lo que nos imaginamos! First workshop of the year was mono printing and collage led by Japanese artist Tomoko Otani. Maelor has many more workshops and retreats planned as part of the ten year anniversary celebrations. The workshops are being led by artists who have completed residencies over the past ten years. The next workshop will be with Julie Upmeyer, who will be teaching how to use social media as an art form. Message me if you want to push social media beyond just using it as a way to promote your work and to get more creative with it or to find out about the other workshops we’ll be offering over the summer. I spent the past three days at the AVPN Conference in #AbuDhabi. To say it was “hectic” and “energizing” is a gross understatement of the energy and level of activity. It’s been several years since I’ve take part in a #conference of this size - 1,500 participants, a huge venue (2 venues, in fact), a packed agenda with #sessions, #workshops, and #networking opportunities - all focused on #socialimpact and #venturephilanthropy with incredible colleagues and peers from around the world. I think I must have had about 40 meetings over the span of three days, so it’s going to take some time for me to absorb it all and to organize my thoughts on all the critical takeaways from the conference but the networking was next-level and I’m so glad I came. I congratulate the team of AVPN, as well as all the organizers and partners, for a very well organized event, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to participate. (Continued in captions below…)

Se: Você tem dificuldades com o que está fora do seu controle; em escutar o outro e aceitar que não tem controle sobre o outro; em aceitar suas limitações; dificuldade em lidar com o limite em relações (invade ou é invadido pelo outro); em se expressar sem pensar no julgamento alheio; não consegue associar livremente na sua análise; pensa muito o tempo todo sobre o que vai falar ou fazer; acha que não sabe dançar porque não sabe mexer seu corpo livremente; não se sente conectado com o seu corpo sem passar pela sua mente e julgamento; tem dificuldades em lidar com o inesperado e improvisar com o que tem; ou simplesmente gosta de improvisação; entre outros… esse workshop talvez seja para você. Nesse workshop farei uma fala breve e didática (não muito teórica, especializada e cabeçuda) sobre a couraça cervical, a respiração e o comportamento de controle (tentar controlar o incontrolável e se frustar com isso). Após essa fala faremos alguns exercícios da psicologia corporal para ajudar o corpo a se expressar mais, dentro do possível, e então jogos de improviso bem acolhedores, para podermos nos soltar e aprender mais sobre a forma como nos comportamos quando estamos em situações que podemos nos soltar mais. Todos dentro das possibilidades de cada um. Serão 8 vagas disponíveis para esse trabalho. Na quarta-feira 29/05, das 19:00 às 22:00, lá no @pulsao.cwb , por 80 R$.
