"This is a very nice place...ad we're eating dinner...This is a date!" ~ Giselle Disney Bunny Group at KatsuCon 2023 I've just realised this gettup is reminding me of Kallen's bunny moment from Code Geass 🤣 Ariel and Cinderella were so sweet to take me with them to dinner after the shoot. I didn't know my Katsu roomates all that well and our schedules and interests didn't overlap so I spent a lot of time on my own. I'm really used to the UK community where I either know the location, the organisation team or a decent chunk of attendees that I'd forgotten how easily overwhelmed I am by that sense of being alone in a crowded room. Something I try to do when rooming with people or doing cosplay groups is at least to offer them communal dinners so they have something to ground them. It's surprising how much sharring a pizza (or burgers in this case) helps. I'm always too worried about letting everyone down or not really being what they want. So I avoid dissapointment by avoiding participating. I had a crisis of confidence and nearly bailed on this group. Everyone was so sweet. One of the girls amazon-ed some bunny accessories to Katsu when mine didn't come in time before my flight. Another brought everyone white or black rosettes for heroes and villains.
