How much does a cake cost? Is there anything worse than wanting to buy something and not having a clue how much it is going to cost? Like when you are at a really lovely craft fair and then have to slowly back away when you get told the price. So uncomfortable! I want to be as transparent as I can be about my pricing. It’s really difficult to give an exact price for a custom cake which has yet to be designed, but I have given it my best shot at making it as easy as possible to work out what is in your budget. On my website, I now have price ranges for each size of both wedding cakes and celebration cakes. It includes the main designs I make, such as my pressed flower cakes and painted cakes and also how much I would charge for the cake in each image. My cakes are made with beautiful ingredients, gorgeous hand made and home grown flowers, displayed in luxury packaging and made in a sustainable way which is reflected in the price. I couldn’t help getting a picture of these beautiful spring flowers as we left Rockbeare Manor. We’re really looking forward to the season ahead of bookings! And here we are at Rockbeare Manor where we have played many times. We started with a few requests from the couple plus a few tunes from the pre-ceremony playlist that we didn’t get to. We had our jukebox setup and our most wide ranging requests included Brandenburg 3, Let it Go, Thriller and Wildest Dreams. A string quartet can be pretty versatile!!
Beautiful setting for lovely personal ceremony. We played gentle and romantic pop music as guests arrived including our first performance of Easy on Me by Adele. The Bridal party walked in to Pachebel’s Canon and the newly married couple left to Ain’t No Mountain. Ottery St Mary Parish Church has a stunning ceiling and excellent acoustics too!

Hello hello! It’s been a while since I’ve done one of these awful things and actually put my head in front the camera but the dreaded algorithm assures me it’s necessary so, here I am! Home life consists of me and husband Bolo; who’s recently made the switch from selling craft beer to cider (seriously, check out @ifordcider - it’s delicious) and is unfortunately the best chef you’ll ever meet. We are ruled by two tiny goblins called Ted & Betsey who are both hilarious, loud, crazy and delightful in equal measures and our absolutely besties.
