It can also create a habit of not figuring things out on our own and needing to be told what to do!😟 And shifting into auto pilot so we just “go” like an energizer bunny without thinking can help us get through our day but in the end, we barely remember the day!? And, this robs us of our purpose and identity. This morning I woke with these audible words… “Get closer to God”! Many Words that I have shared for the last year and a half, are about drawing closer to the Lord, and many have been sounding an alarm for the days that we are now in. Here’s a Word that I just finished recording… “Find a quiet place. Get alone and talk to Me. The world around you is quaking, and there is much unrest. You see it…and you’re feeling it, too. There is a great shift happening, and just like it is when fault lines give way, there can be rough patches. Some patches can be devastating, so get close to Me. Talk 💛 Lay out your fears and worries, and your wants and desires. There is much to voicing what is on your mind, and on your heart! Talk 💛 I am your sounding board and as the quaking intensifies, all the rubbish is exposed. All that is unclean begins to surface, so sound out to Me what you want cleaned up! You can’t do this on your own, but with Me, all things are possible. Allow Me to take what is wrong and replace with something right. I am at the right side of the Father, and together, we make all things new! All that is wrong is being righted, so as we shift gears, draw close and stay close. Sound out, and I will respond in ways I know will be right. Digging into our Spring women's Bible Study on prayer. The profouund discoveries unearthed in the "The Lord's Prayer" have ignited my spirit. A prayer I've said all my life has new depth in meaning as I contemplate the holiness of the Father's name and His heavenly kingdom spread through us/me. Seek first His kingdom and righteousness; draw and welcome others into this holy and fufilling home. Six Lifeway teachers and authors offer insight into the purpose and depth of prayer we can experience as we journey with them in developing an intimate relationship with our Father. This study digs into six different prayers in Scripture, demonstrates how to draw closer to our Father, and helps us fulfill a hunger for a deeper relationship with the Lord. After reading through part of the first week's study, I can't wait to sit before my heavenly Father and seek His face, drink in His loving presence, and share my heart while I listen for His gentle voice. What does your devotional time look like? "Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him..." Psalm 37:7 I had just finished reading my daily devotional and I gazed upon this sight. Our doggy cozied and at peace between my husband's feet. "Isn't that the way we should be in Our Master's presence," the thought zinged through my mind. "Am I that way when I come to my quiet time with the Lord?" The thought pricked my heart. Am I that comfortable when I come to the Lord, or am I restless? Anxious to zip through my praises, a Bible reading, and requests? Perhaps my time with the Lord would be more fruitful if I could just rest in His presence and listen for His loving words. SEEKING AND FINDING GOD In the Old Testament, PRIESTS and the TEMPLE SYSTEM mediated God's presence and relationship with His people. The people of God worshiped and prayed to Him, but the PRIESTS would enter the sacred space and speak with God on their behalf. They revered God but they were still separated from Him. However, the prophet Jeremiah wrote about a time when God's people could experience a direct relationship with Him. God's spirit would dwell in them and they could find Him anywhere at any time. Through JESUS, our HIGH PRIEST, we now have ACCESS TO GOD'S PRESENCE ANY TIME. Jeremiah's prophecy was fulfilled. Jesus sent the SPIRIT of GOD to dwell within us. This means that God is NEVER FAR FROM YOU - just like in Jeremiah 29:13, He can be found when we seek Him. He is present and ready for a relationship with us. When you pursue a relationship with God, He wants access to every part of you. He wants access to your THOUGHT LIFE, CAREER LIFE, LOVE LIFE, FAMILY LIFE, BUSINESS LIFE, - your ENTIRE LIFE. At first, it may seem hard to give God access to our PAST, or the things we're ashamed of. But, God is full of grace and mercy, and He wants to be free from those things. Khit ayaw natin Syang papasukin sa part na yan ng buhay natin, MERON PADIN SYANG ACCESS. God is OMNIPRESENT in our lives. He is present in our PAST, in our PRESENT and in our FUTURE. Walang hindi Sya alam sa buhay natin. GIVING HIM ACCESS simply means GIVING HIM FULL CONTROL of everything. It means surrendering all under His care. It is about trusting that GOD KNOWS BEST.
