I took my grief and sealed it in a time capsule. I heaved shovel after shovel of busyness overtop to conceal its existence. I promised myself I would examine it more closely when the demands of life were few. Who has time for grief, anyway? The dilemma is—bottled up grief is like a shot of anesthesia to your heart—numbing all emotions. Your sorrow may be “gone”, but so is your joy. In some twisted way, I took pride in feeling nothing. But healing only comes from exposing grief—not burying it. And when you least expect it, the fault lines of your soul will shift: The photo you discover in the binding of an old book. The toddler at the park who hands you a dandelion after a miscarriage. The dream of the marriage that once was—only to startle awake and find yourself alone. The stranger you spot in the grocery store that for a split second looks like a loved one who has passed. This seismic activity causes grief to resurface and we find ourselves crushed beneath the weight of it. Dig up your grief and bring it to Jesus. Let him mourn with you. Grief is weighty because we carry it alone. “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.” (Matt 11:28-30)
Always remember to praise God in all circumstances. Oftentimes, we blame God for mishaps that have nothing to do with Him. Love when we read the Bible and get a revelation like “Wait, this is how God says to live? How come society’s standard is the opposite??” This morning, I was reflecting on Paul’s exhortation to boast in our weaknesses. 🌸 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong. (2 Corinthians 12:9-10) In society, in cultures where ‘face’ is important, talking about weaknesses is often still a no no. And even when it’s done, testifying about how we rely on God’s power in our weaknesses is sometimes seen as reserved for church—not appropriate for work or social settings. Of course discernment is important, but I pray we pray more and more for boldness to live life as God intends. To shine his light brightly whenever there is an opportunity in order to testify to the hope that we have—in as many settings as possible! We all need real hope. We can all have real hope. May we “have hope for a living” as I felt God say to me the other week hah. Love that. We can fully hope in the Lord. Have you felt like quitting all at once and throwing in the towel? Have you been in a place where you felt trapped and it isn’t where you have imagined to be and yet by circumstance there you are trying to make sense of why you’re there? Have you wanted to not care at all and whatever will be, will be? Hey there! If one of those ever resonates with you, I hope you won’t feel bad of having those heavy feelings. After all, at some point struggles show us the frailty of humanity. BUT—it doesn’t have to end in struggling. One of the stories I love in the Bible is when coming across the word, “but”. “…But David found strength in the LORD his God.” (1 Samuel 30:6) This conjunction connotes a change of story of the well known man of God, David. And mostly, the narrative from struggling becomes a feat of strength. If you feel like abandoning ship and giving up, If you feel like nothing’s making sense, And if you feel like you cannot make it through another day, Know that these are hard heavy feelings but there is a way out. Hold on, don’t let go, just put one foot in front of the other. There will be the light at the end of the dark tunnel. Don’t give up and don’t give in for this won’t last. If it’s not good and beautiful, God’s not done with you yet. Beloved, when all else fails, know that God’s strength does not. You’re gonna be okay. Who is planning to join us? 🥰 To give some brief information about the book: 📖 Written by: the Apostle John, who was one of Jesus’ closest followers and friends, who was at the garden of Gethsemane with Jesus, who was there when He was crucified and who saw the empty tomb. 📖 Type of book: epistle, prophecy 📖 Written: AD 90-95 We found this book overview by Enduring Word to be helpful as we prepare: “The Revelation of Jesus Christ: The ancient Greek word translated Revelation is apokalupsis (apocalypse). The word simply means “a revealing, an unveiling.” The Book of Revelation is the Revelation of Jesus Christ in the sense that it belongs to Him, He is the one doing the revealing. It is also Jesus’ Revelation in the sense that He is the object revealed; Jesus is the person revealed by the book.” While Revelation can be a challenging book, it truly is a message of hope and should give us courage to continue fighting the good fight of our faith. And as with any book of the Bible, we should dive in desiring to learn more about Jesus and how we can honor Him in our lives. 🤍 Praying our faith and love for Jesus would deepen this month, and that we would be encouraged to stay alert and live for the glory of God. 🙏🏼 “And I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all that is in them, saying, ‘To Him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be blessing and honor and glory and might forever and ever!’”Revelation 5:13

Sunday Blessings! Praise the God of signs and wonders! God’s kingdom endures forever. What happens when people walk away from God? Where can we read in God’s Word about the power of God to change and transform the hearts of people in entire cities, countries and even the King of Babylon? The answer is: in the incredible book of Daniel. Daniel 2:21 tells us: “He [God] changes times and seasons; he deposes kings and raises up others. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning.” Do you believe this Scripture? I do! I believe God can and will! This is an oldie but such a goodie. Marriage and raising children are not temporary work. They are ᴇᴛᴇʀɴᴀʟ. In this message Voddie shares how the desire to marry is not man-made, it’s God given. He is the creator of marriage from the very beginning in Genesis, so it is not a man-made idea, either. Although this current society encourages singleness and promiscuity and looks down upon people who have a deep yearning to marry and have children as if those pursuits are weaknesses or burdens, there is absolutely nothing to be ashamed about. We were made to glorify God. So often we don’t realize that a huge blessing in having children is that we can train them up in the admonition of the Lord, and they, by God’s will, will continue in the Kingdom work that we’ve already set forth on, and go further and reach even more people and continue to glorify God even after we’re gone. No church today. ... home with a very sick little 1 year old who has a fever with a non-covid virus, bad ears and raw throat. My other 4 children just arrived home after staying the night with grandparents because we spent the night at the hospital with the little one. We feel very blessed to have had fellow sisters in the Lord praying for him, and also for the wonderful care he received by ambulance officers and hospital staff. He's obviously back home now, still burning fevers and still ill but home, we have a Drs appointment lined up for him for tomorrow. The kids decided to set up Little House on the Praire dvds to watch together and I am spending time doing a read and a mini-self study of Revelation. I have been wallowing in self pity for the past 24 hours. Telling God how bad I wanted things to be different or wishing I wasn’t speaking to a dead wall all the time (referring to something in my marriage not God lol), etc etc. Then Holy Spirit spoke to me and said Daisy didn’t you pray for less of you and more of me, didn’t you pray to purify your heart, to teach you love and patience. He said how can I teach you how to love and love back without giving you someone that is hard to love. Where is the trial in that. Where is the practice and endurance in that. Trials whether we like it or no are meant to purify us. So He said are you going to continue feeling sorry for yourself because your not getting the response you want or are you gonna endure this with joy and patience fixing your eyes on me and remember and holding on to the promise I have already given you? Almost 2 years ago I said “yes” to a job I swore I’d never do. I had told God I’d never be involved in pro life storytelling, because I don’t like political fights. I much prefer to share love in action than argue about what we should or shouldn’t be doing. God knows that. So in His divinely, slightly crazy way, He presented me with a job that oozed with opportunity to show love. It just happened to be connected to a pro life mission. My job as program creator and director of a maternity home has demanded that I understand the mindset of young women facing unexpected pregnancy while in a crisis situation. It’s not pretty. Homeless or poor. Needing education or work. Unsupported by family. Escaping a bad relationship. Newly sober or dealing with mental health issues. Trying to change your life while growing new life inside of you. It’s complicated. I’m in a state that banned abortions. Doctors and resources have fled the state. Women are questioning “Do you care about the politics or this pregnancy?” Here’s what I wish everyone knew about the women facing unexpected pregnancy in crisis situations: 1. They want someone to listen. In order for a woman to make a choice, she needs the space to think, speak, and be heard. Not told what to do. 2. They want love. The kind of love that looks at all angles of the situation, all the choices and consequences and says, “I love you even still.” Not judgement and shame. 3. They want hope. Hope to see a way out of the crisis and a future brighter than today. Help and resources that address the issues that caused the crisis to begin with. Not a quick solution. God created us the same. We all want to be heard, loved, and filled with hope. His image within us craves these things. Jesus is the perfect solution for all of us. He hears our cries for help and meets us in our distress. He offers us salvation. He loves us in our mess, with a love that literally sacrificed itself in order to give us new life. He gives us hope that conquers every fear, trial, and endures beyond this life. Eternal hope. We don’t need more fighting. We need more Jesus. Follow Jesus 🤍@agodfoundmess
