I totally underestimated the benefits going to the gym has on mental health. If there is one piece of advice I could go back in time and offer my younger self it would be to work out, lift heavy and drink plenty of water! This continuous process of returning to the body, being mindful and honoring health has given me a space of inner clarity that has had a knock on effect in most areas of my life. If you don't have an exercise routine I would encourage you to get one. Yoga, a daily walk, a swim, weights, running, whatever feels right for you make a start or reinvest. It has become a beautiful and integral part of my spiritual path. There is a difference between when humans dance and when creatures do... when humans dance, and when they dance deeply, from a place where they are unselfconscious and as if they are unwatched, or care not if they are watched - they are deeply, incomparably beautiful. When they dance with their whole souls, they are primal...and when humans often hear that word and let it fall from their lips, they feel that to be primal is simply to be aggressive, to roar and to scream, to be raw and unaffected... Day 227- Jesus tells the parable of the lost son. A man had two sons. The youngest son went to his father and told him that he wanted half of his estate now before his father died. The father agreed to divide his wealth between his two sons. The youngest son packed up all his belongings and moved far away and wasted all his money on wild living. When his money ran out, great famine hit the land and he had no money for food. He became so hungry, the food that were given to the pigs began to look good to him. The youngest son came to his senses and began to think about what to say when he returned home. So when the youngest son returned home, he told his father that he wasn't worthy of being called his son and that he has sinned against him and heaven. The father told his servants to quickly bring the finest robe, and ring for his finger, and sandals. The father also told them to prepare that fattest calf for a feast and celebration. The older brother became angry because he was never given a goat for a celebration or a feast. The father explained that the older son has always be there for him and everything he has, is his older sons. The father said that they had to celebrate because the youngest son was lost but now is found. It’s been a while 📚 I started the Alison Weir Six Wives series at the end of the month but it felt so daunting. 6 books of those sizes one after the other, and I would find myself just dreading the thought of starting to read. And that put me in a slump! So I just gave up and returned them to the library and read some other books instead - not as much as my usual - only 3 in total I think. BUT…..
