We had to buy a new bed and decided to go to a local store, to “Mattress Firm” on Telephone Road. We got great customer service from Eric (what a coincidence, same name as my husband 😜) He helped us until we found exactly the right bed for us for a great price. It gets delivered on Sunday and they take care to recycle our old bed. Of course he deserved a Ladybug rock 🐞 as you might have guessed 🤪😇 I’m so excited and can’t wait for Sunday. This is the largest net standing with a span of more than 40 ft. I've seen 37 people in this net at one time. This place is amazing! They have numerous treehouses and more than a mile of ziplines. They host the World Treehouse Conference and bring together the worlds best hooligans for the dreamiest time one can imagine. Out N About is located a stones throw from the Coastal Redwoods and is most certainly worth the visit! You'll get cool-kid points if u tell them I sent you. I felt on Tuesday after 3 weeks finally well enough again, to head out and cut some hair for the needy. I was pretty busy after not being there the last few weeks, I had 6 customers and could have worked longer, but my lower back wasn’t very happy with me 😜 But at least I was able to go again. I did take many pictures this time, but the gentleman in the 2nd picture looked like a new person after his haircut, cutting his beard and eyebrows. Dream Out Loud with Me!! This year, I have 25 years of building Dream Nets. It's day 7 of 25 days of Dream Nets Highlights!! This Net's beginning is part of my Net-Builder origin story... I was at the Summer Meltdown in 2008 when Pete and Judy came up to me at my annual festival builds and said, 'We are the Nelsons. We are hosting the Global Treehouse Symposium at our Treehouse Bed and Breakfast in Fall City.... and clearly, you need to come!' That's how I met Papa Pete and Mama Jude! In September of the same year, this net was built, and I met my Treehouse Family. -and the larger family that is the Treehouse Community... I'm head over heels for these people... as many of you know... Later that year, Pete mentored me on how to bid and survey a site, and helped me on this journey of my net-building career! Pete and Judy adopted me, took me in, and were so kind and welcoming. I'm FOREVER thankful for them and what their free-flowing inspiration and guidance have done for me... There is not one site that I step onto, that I don't think of Papa Pete's wise words. Not one build that isn't influenced by the lesons I learned during my time with them. I had a good laugh today at the Goodwill in Moorpark and if you wonder why, you have to watch the video I shared right after the picture from the cute two girls who worked there today. I totally forgot to share these from Thursday afternoon, when we went after the @jenniferhudsonshow to dinner at this place near by the studio, a friend recommended a while back. It’s called Pinocchio’s which is a family owned Italian Deli & Market/ restaurant and if you just scroll to the third picture, that alone is a reason for me to definitely wanting to go back, because their ice cream is simply SPECTACULAR!!!!! They even had Tiramisu, my absolute favorite. 🤩 😋🤤 The two adorable girls had a tough time to decide which kind to get, so we started to talk and they both gave a little happy squeeck after receiving their ladybug rock 🐞 😜🥰 For dinner I had before my desert Fettuccini Alfredo, a other favorite o FF mine and it was also very good, but I took half of it home to still have enough room for my ice cream 🤪😇 All together this place I definitely would recommend! It’s unique, food is delicious and it’s a fun and friendly service. Did I mention it also has a Deli attached to get some goodies to take home? Stuck swirling in a cyclone of things to do but never finding your way to get to them! 🌪️Time to get organized!.📚 I know sometimes the mere thought of that sounds daunting but you'd be amazed at how just getting stuff around you organized can give you the motivation you need to get off your ass and get moving . Getting yourself organized can energize you! 🚀 It makes you feel like you accomplished something and make all the things you need to do seem less overwhelming. 🥱 Stuck in a Funk Friday! Another week of a never-ending loop of deadlines, meetings and bullsh*t work drama has ended. Damn that's why we love that Loverboy song ' 🎶 working for the weekend' right. Because that's what it feels like when you're stuck at that shitty job! Look I know it's hard when you don't love your job anymore (or maybe you never did) but if you're stuck there until you can figure out a plan of escape let's see if we can break free from the monotony of your work week. Here's a few ideas: 1️⃣: Break the Routine - I've said it before but Shake that shit up! Take a different route to work, or get the hell out of the office for lunch. Looking at the same damn four walls for 8 hours sucks so mix it up! 2️⃣: Figure Out Your Fun And Don't Wait For the Weekend - Think about what you really love doing on the weekends and see if you can give yourself a day during the week to do that as well. By exploring these activities that bring you joy and fulfillment during the week too you have something to look forward to besides the weekend.. 3️⃣: Get with your Friends - I know you are tired from working during the week but if you can squeeze in a happy hour somewhere with your friends it's a great way to unwind from a stressful work day and have some fun before the weekend. These are just a few ways to "spice up" the week so you're not just trying to get through it. If you're in a job you're not in love with anymore it might be time to think about what's next. This 2 story net is nestled into the Emerald Forest Theater, surrounded by an extensive Nelson Treehouse build. -A climb-in, outdoor movie theater! This site was my 3rd opportunity to be highlighted by the Treehouse Masters on Animal Planet, and where my children saw the Princess Bride for the first time. Little known fact... I threw out my back on this site and had to be emergency evacuated by the Nelson build team on a stretcher made of treehouse supplies. (Thanks Guys!) Also... every stitch of materials you see came over on a zipline! This site holds so many memories and is such a delight. An Owl named Oscar even took residence in this net for a time.. I went back with 2 of my dear friends today to the Jennifer Hudson show and we had a fantastic time. It was the last tapings for season 2 and to answer any upcoming questions that will probably come again, I’m not telling who was there as guests , only so much, some singing was involved 🤪😇😜 I shared tons of Ladybug rocks 🐞 again and I made a special gift for Jennifer and her team. Jennifer calls the Studio “The Happy Place” and since the show was now nominated for an Emmy I painted them a sign with that name. I had my car in the shop to get it ready for a smog check and ran into this nice lady! We talked for a bit and she was very happy with the ladybug rock 🐞 she got. I also hid some on our walk with our boy 🦮 the last days. One I wanted to replace, because it was sitting for a couple of years on the front porch from one of our neighbors and it was taken. So I put a new one there. There are several spots I always replace the ladybug rocks when they are missing on our walking route.
