He left the band to release a series of solo records and later pioneered the genre of ambient music with his 1978 album Ambient 1: Music for Airports. As a producer, Brian Eno has helped define and reinvent the sound of some of the most important artists in music, including David Bowie, U2, Talking Heads, Coldplay, and dozens of others. He also composed what may be the most heard piece of music in the world: the startup sound for Microsoft Windows. Undeniably, Eno has changed the way modern music is made. Nose Music - Bighouse, Dublab and The Institute for Art and Olfaction - Os Mutantes - s/t - 1968 - Maxwell Williams - UFO Parfums - Peeling fruit pinkish cream spurts the fruit is foamy textured bumpy spiky skins yield pink-white foam, studded with teal sprinkle-stars, avocados have pits that break open foamily, crrrrrr? Flutes spill out foam and grow out of the ground vine-entangled. I watch the vegetal orchestra play wow this is really far out! So many vowels - Aaaaooooaauu! Oa. Everything is really brite to the eyes, blinding, lemme put on these Cassandra Cat shades. It's all huhh huhh lime + magenta, I feel a thudding in my chest. The floor is covered in paisley fabric, that turn into the eyes of a Kit Kat Klock. Oh whoa, Louis Wainular. I'll sit for a bit and eat these egg roll cookys filled with baby blue uck that are bitter to the tongue on the very last chomp, before you swallow. I watch the sea - it's filled to the crawlers with bioluminescence - starfish are starred, octopi are spangled, why does every creature resemble Barbapapae? All the animals are gentle and benign. Drinking whirlpool tea + biting holes in the cooky floam flubber egg roll wafer to make a wind instrument. Parped out: a a u a a a u a um ong ba ba b u n g. Did you ever soak a chicken bone in vinegar to make it elastic? The coasting sunset looks painted on velvet, when I reach out it purrs! Lying on a palm leaf, I am raised along with its growth - stripe by stripe I spectre-see-sea: A) underwater ragtime band. B) rubber tropical plants that sap out. . . Miniature rubber cacti and hibiscus?? Plunk plunk onto the paisley. I'm so surprised I step on one by accident - it releases a combined shriek of every single Swingle Singer past and present Dolphins rest on the beach like seal pups. Their peals are backwards secret-messaged-but-not-Satanic-more-benevolent and erupt from their blowholes in material fruit form that has grown in reverse - I chew through the whitish soursop pulp to reach leathery hides. That sprrttz sound on "Le Premier Bonheur du Jour"? That's not bug spray, that's a PERFUME ATOMISZER!!!! PS I am so incredibly happy to have this box it is everything I love, concentrated.

Our next SRSA guest mix comes from music journalist, podcast producer and archival DJ: Jackson Allers @jacksonallers An alumnus of the Dublab community, Jackson produced a variety of independent programs and events throughout Los Angeles for six years before moving to Beirut, where he contributed his rogue industry knowledge to create a thriving music community interested in Lebanon’s local sounds from past eras. Over a decade, he was a core member of @beirutgroovecollective alongside archivist selectors @natshooter and @ernesto_chahoud , using music as a means to liberate and unite Lebanese citizens against state oppression. His unceremonious exile from Lebanon a few years ago brought him back to the United States, where he re-established himself in Houston, TX and continues to produce a variety of media on his own terms. He currently runs an independent radio station @icehouseradio that meanders throughout Houston via van, broadcasting curated airwaves in pop-up formats. Today he brings us a guest mix of songs that are connected to his personal travels and tribulations, many from records that he was forced to leave behind in Lebanon and physically replace through new adventures thousands of miles away.
