📍Mercato Hostaria | campo de fiori, Rome, Italy The final Italy post 🤩🤩 I kept calling this meal the last supper😅 we went to @mercatohostaria and I got the truffles fettuccine and this + the board from my last post = *chefs kiss* ✰ I also included some of the pics from our campo de fiori aperitivo crawl! The night before our last full day we made it our mission to try get a drink at every restaurant in the piazza and it made for the best night!! From Miami iced teas (literally an amf lol) to the gin fizz’s, and free limoncello shots we got + snacks on the way, it was so much fun!! And there was just one place we didn’t hit which we ended up going to on our last night- the tiki bar!! Because you know when in Rome, go to the tiki bar (I think that’s the saying). But we were laughing so hard because the waiter suggested a drink to me and it came out as this huge pineapple😂😂 and then he came back and asked me if I liked the surprise😂 and it was truly the best way to finish out my favorite trip ever!! Tomato Basil Croissant Flatbread was a tad overcooked but yummy. Loved the salad! The Lobster Roll pasta had a good texture. This felt like a dressed up version of buttered noodles without any flavor. The steak was overcooked despite requesting medium rare. Jaime took care of things right away which was very nice. The plate still fell short in flavor all around. I’m hoping that we came in an off night and things will be better. I’m rooting for Jaime and this restaurant because we need good restaurants in the area. I’ll be back to give it another try and hopefully some grand opening kinks will be worked out by then.

New place on the North Shore. Was excited to try since I haven’t had a chance to try the city location. Unfortunately, the place fell a little flat from the excitement. The service was great. Chicken strips were okay, sandwich was decent but the bread didn’t seem that fresh.

Hands down, this is one of the best korean fried chicken in town! 🙌🏻🙌🏻 the chicken cuts are crispy on the outside yet still juicy in the inside. Not forgetting the amazing rose tteokbokki that is so creamy with a hint of spiciness. Their cheese balls are very chewy and have that cheese pull! Overall, worth the queue if you go in a big group because you can try different dishes and you don't get so bored q-ing together. #igotfoodcoma
Abundance served great Taiwanese food with reasonable price. 😋 would definitely come back for other dishes. Tried the pork bun, dumpling noodle, fried rice, prawn toast, and black sesame ice cream. Their pork bun is definitely my personal favourite as it has balanced taste between the pork, preserved vegetables, peanuts, and coriander. The chilli dumpling noodle has a nice vinegary chilli oil with a taste of the szechuan peppercorn making it fragrant and has a slight tingling/numbing taste. The food was worth the wait! Kasama did not disappoint. The food was delicious. We got there around 830AM and there was already a 10-15 person line ahead of where we were standing. The line never seemed to get shorter despite people walking in to get seated or order their food to go. They had the cutest patio. Expect to wait. When you get inside to order, there will more than likely be a wait for a table inside. We opted for an outdoor table that had no wait and it was perfect. They have an adorable patio that’s mostly enclosed so it blocks you from the street and the houses in the area. The sweets were amazing. I want to go back tomorrow just to pick up more sweets! They just had their 3 Year anniversary of being open and by the looks of it, they are only getting stronger.

The experience didn’t start off well when we went to check in upon arrival and the lady unapologetically informed us that they are running 15-20 minutes behind schedule. No worries, we will grab a drink at the bar. 10 minutes without acknowledgement and we were finally able to order our drinks. We were finally seated about FIFTY minutes after our reservation and we told that their extra outside tables that came in the day before weren’t put together in time for all of the reservations they had to accommodate. Fine even though there were empty tables inside and on the patio when we arrived. Even after being seated we waited for the server for another 15 minutes. They forgot one of our appetizers. The food was pretty good. The table’s favorite dish was the Tagine of Chicken. They comped us dessert for the birthday we were celebrating and for our wait but it was on our bill when we received it. The chicken was really good but not enough to be back for a second visit.
