Phrag. Jason Fischer 4N 'Red Rocket' FCC/AOS. One of the most successful phrag hybrids with over 100 flower quality awards from the AOS. This tetraploid cultivar originated from the Eric Young Orchid Foundation in the UK, where some of the most important chromosome conversion research was performed. The production of tetraploid plants greatly facilitated breeding in this genus, which was otherwise plagued by poor fertility beyond initial generations. 8. Looking for fairies among the orchids at the Eric Young Foundation šøYesterday, I took my two to the orchid foundation for a little afterschool visit. The foundation closes at 4pm which gave us just under an hour to admire the beautiful orchids that are displayed there which is plenty. Itās such a special place, I would encourage anybody who hasnāt been to visit it! I find orchids exquisitely mesmerising with their many shapes and colours. We took some family to the Eric Young Orchid Foundation on Saturday. I have been meaning to go for the past 12 years or so... and we finally made it!
