With the camera ready and our hearts filled with anticipation, we set off for a lesser-known cenote in Coba to capture a special moment: a wedding amidst ancestral nature. After a two-hour journey by road, we finally arrived at the cenote, where we were greeted by two individuals whose primary language was Mayan. Despite the language barrier, they welcomed us with warm hospitality and guided us to the magical setting where the couple was about to unite their lives forever. The couple, radiant with excitement and love, welcomed us with bright smiles and beating hearts. Their enthusiasm was palpable, their bond evident. As the sun filtered through the dense foliage and the crystal-clear waters of the cenote shimmered with a deep blue, we began to capture every moment filled with love and promise. For me, as a photographer, this experience was more than just taking pictures; it was immersing myself in a world of magic and connection. Each click of the camera was a snapshot of pure happiness, and each image captured the very essence of love in its purest and most powerful form. This was definitely one of my favorite things about my honeymoon! Even though you probably just spend months on plans the best wedding you ever wanted and you just want to relax, I always recommend at least doing one excursion during your honeymoon! Here’s why… You will always remember it more than lounging around at the resort you picked! When I look back at my honeymoon, I am so thankful we were able to include some amazing excursions to experience Cancun as a whole! Yes, the days we did lounge around at the resort were great! But if you ask us about our honeymoon, we are going to talk about the incredible opportunities we had during it! Not only did we Swim with Dolphins, we saw Cenotes, went ziplining, took ATVs through the jungle, and even were able to have our own speed boat tour out to go snorkeling! On Thursday, (April 11), Mat surprised me with a limo picking everyone up to be taken to the airport 🤯 ( 5:30am is too early to take a good photo 😂 ). After a long flight, we checked in and explored the restaurants and bars. On my bday (April 12), started the day with mimosas and a fab breakfast, followed by pool and beach time with everyone!
