| The Palace of Sumera Mountain | Guarded by a giant Ananda Fish is the Palace of Sumera Mountain. It is an important place in Thai mythology, said to be the meeting place of celestial beings, heaven or hell. This panda name Hua Hua (花花） I saw a video on the internet bout this cute little that is only like half the size of a normal panda and I’m like I have to see this panda myself ! "Sense of Scale" 🚙 • This past Monday, Winnie and I traveled in-land to catch a flower festival at sunset. We decided to leave early-afternoon. Once we arrived, we still had some time to kill so we figured we may as well go exploring and see if we could find somewhere new. While we were sitting at a gas station deciding where to go, I searched around on Google Maps and found this epic spot. It looked pretty good from the pictures on Google, and it was only around 10km of dirt road to get here, so I figured we'd give it a go. And wow! Did this spot ever amaze. It was probably one of the coolest lakes I've been able to drive directly to with our SUV. • This experience proved to me once again that spending a little time researching locations online can often lead to some great results. Some people get upset when photographers don't share in their public posts the exact locations they photograph. Often, the reason they don't share these locations publicly is because spots like this tend to have more fragile infrastructure and shouldn't be constantly geo-tagged on social media (I sadly found a fair bit of garbage while I was here, for example). But just like in my experience, usually photographers discover the locations they shoot from their own personal research. And Google Maps is a brilliant tool to do just that. So if you haven't already, search around your local area on Google Maps and see if you can find some new areas to shoot. You never know what you may find!
