While the saying “skincare is selfcare” is SO true, it can also be hard to dedicate time to a complicated routine every morning and night. So here are three tips to get you started✨ 1. Start small: Begin with a simple routine and a short time frame. Promise yourself 5 minutes each morning and each night, with a routine that consists of a cleanser and a moisturizer (and SPF in the morning). You can always add to this later. 2. Make it something you look forward to: Change your perspective when looking at skincare. Rather than viewing it as a burden, make it your special time with yourself. Add in a fluffy headband or light a candle, whatever you need to start treating it like a selfcare ritual. After a while, you’ll start looking forward to your “me time.” 3. Tell yourself it’s an investment and you deserve it: Work, school, kids, spouses and so much more pull you in different directions all the time. If you feel guilty about taking a little time for yourself, remind yourself that what you’re doing is an investment. Take five minutes of peace to breathe and have that reminder that taking care of yourself is absolutely necessary.
