Ab dem 26.4.24 war ich für Flixtrain unterwegs. Dabei ging es in kurzen 5 Stunden Schichten 4 Tage lang jeweils mit dem Flix 30 von Dortmund nach Aachen und zurück. Am 29.4 erreichte ich mit dem FLX 1230 Köln Hbf sogar 3 Minuten vor Plan und konnte noch ein beliebtes Foto von meinem Zug mit der "Bahnhofskapelle" machen. An der nicht mehr ganz so weiß strahlenden Lok erkennt man, wie viele Insekten nicht mit einem 200 km/h schnellen Zug rechnen. Von dem Vectron und allen 4 komplett störungsfreien Fahrten war ich tatsächlich positiv überrascht. Pandemonium is a 1982 American parody slasher film. It was directed by Alfred Soleand features an ensemble cast including Tom Smothers, Eileen Brennan, Phil Hartman, Tab Hunter, Carol Kane, David Lander, Eve Arden, and Paul Reubens. This Airplane!-styled spoof of slasher movies has its moments but is ultimately more bizarre than it is funny. The script takes a shotgun approach to humor, mixing genre-specific humor with the kind of gags that could pop up in any comedy. Some of the gags are truly clever (example: the Royal Canadian Mounted Police investigate the murders, a nod to the fact that many slasher films were shot in Canada) but those gags are outmatched by scenes involving humdrum grossout humor and other scenes that are just plain bizarre, like a death by electric toothbrush and a throwaway gag about bestiality. That said, director Alfred Sole keeps the film moving at a breezy pace and gives it a surprising amount of horror-film atmosphere for the jokes to bounce off of. Pandemonium further benefits from strong comic performances: Carol Kane uses deadpan wit to impressive effect as the “final girl” heroine, Paul Reubens turns in a deliriously eccentric turn as the main cop’s sidekick and the supporting cast includes everyone from Judge Reinhold to Tab Hunter. The Crow is a 1994 American superhero film directed by Alex Proyas and written by David J. Schow and John Shirley, based on the 1989 comic book series by James O’Barr. It stars Brandon Lee, in his final film appearance, as Eric Draven, a musician who is resurrected from the dead to seek vengeance against the gang who murdered him and his fiancée. It probably goes without saying, but Brandon Lee is simply fantastic in the main role. For those who might be unaware, this actor was the son of martial arts legend Bruce Lee. Similar to his father, he possessed a power and intensity that is clear as day on-screen. However, Brandon maintains his own identity and significant impact through his performances as well, and he especially demonstrates that here. He can perfectly switch from wounded to darkly humorous to vicious to achingly sincere, and the raw hurt of what he’s experienced and lost is evident in every frame. And, when his fights and violent acts occur in this movie, Lee grits his teeth and moves with a speed and power that is impressive and perfectly matches the passion that drives his quest. Regardless of what the time or circumstances are, The Crow will always soar high and majestically maintain its presence as one of my favorite films from the 90’s and one of my all-time favorite movies, in general. Dazed and Confused is a 1993 American coming-of-age comedy film written and directed by Richard Linklater. The film follows a variety of teenagers on the last day of school in Austin, Texas in 1976. The film has no single protagonist or central conflict, rather following interconnected plot threads among different social groups and characters, such as rising ninth graders undergoing hazing rituals, a football star’s refusal to sign a clean living pledge for his coach, and various characters hanging out at a pool hall, and finally at a keg party. Dazed and Confused is an American Graffiti for the 1990s, set in the 1970s. Though not quite up to the high standard of its spiritual predecessor, it does an excellent job of following an ensemble cast, who, through the course of one day, enjoy the myriad emotions and experiences that compose the teenage years. Writer/director Richard Linklater does not force the film to follow one storyline in particular, and this choice helps him avoid the conventions of the teen genre, in which the kids learn a big lesson after a series of wacky misdeeds. Indeed, the film is notable for its refreshing lack of sentiment. This isn’t a movie interested in leading us through standard character arcs, and it gives us a portrait of youth that is surprisingly realistic, wiping away much of the gloss with which we often remember “the best years of our lives,” but never going too far in the other direction by indulging in too much grittiness. Auf bestehenden Verbindungen sollen Dutzende weitere Halte hinzukommen. 👉 Statt bisher viermal am Tag sollen die grünen Züge künftig sechsmal zwischen Köln und Berlin verkehren. Zwischen Berlin und Frankfurt wird die Frequenz von sechs auf acht Fahrten pro Tag erhöht.
