My name is Chantelle, the human behind ‘The Nourished Woman’. I’m a Breathwork Facilitator and curator of wellness. I have a home studio in Fort Macleod, Alberta but also do workshops in the surrounding area (and offer online sessions) for walks of life and ages. I am grateful for so many things being back in a rural town, and I am blissfully in love with my brick heritage home. Introducing Us! 👋🏻 Hey there! We’re Danny and Kenzie Hengerer, and if you didn’t quite know yet, we purchased the Commerce building on Main Street! Back in 2014, we made the move to Fort Macleod and instantly loved the river valley, as well as the community that quickly became like family to us. Originally from Granum, Danny often gets asked if he’s out farming with Uncle Yak. However, he’s perfectly content sticking close to home, spending time with our boys, and catching up with friends over a pint on Main Street! As for me, Kenzie, my family hails from Northern England and London, while my twin sisters are still just a short drive away in Calgary. Despite not having the thick accent, spending time with my family, especially my Mema, feels like stepping into a scene from Mrs. Doubtfire. As a family we share a love for antiques, and we’re all about family pizza at the brewery and thrift store adventures. Here’s a glimpse into our world through photos: 1. US: We eloped in 2018 at Castle and celebrated with just our two closest friends. Our neighbors even joined us with cake after spotting me in my wedding dress and popping champagne! 2. Grandpa Fred Williams: Danny’s grandpa, the honey farmer from Granum, Alberta. Our home is filled with his beautiful honey tins, many of which we stumbled upon at Alain’s antique shop (the Java Shop) when we first started dating. 3. Derbyshire:The view from Kenzie’s grandparents’ home in England that just sold. They were truly the most amazing people and always told Danny he was the most talented person they ever met. 4. Fort Macleod: One of our boys outside the set of “The Last of Us” while being filmed on Main Street. We snuck down early for an iced coffee and snapped photos! 5. Stronghold: These doors are a must-see for anyone visiting Fort Macleod. The story behind them is awesome, so if you ever get the chance, ask about them! 6. Antiques: We love antiques, from our kitchen table to the vintage milk jar we use for flowers in the kitchen. Many of these were found from Alain at his Java Shop. Looking back on our antique strolls in 2012, we never imagined we’d own the beautiful Commerce building! Continued ⬇️

From our vault (memories), this was at the Vulcan tournament in 2022, and shows my two kids playing in one team together - supporting one another within their team. With almost 4 years in age difference, we don’t see them play on one team often, so it’s a special memory for us as parents. I think all parents just love witnessing their kids on a team together. Oliver was only 11 years old, but in his gr.6 year so technically able to join and our rural team was short on players. So short, that we even had to recruit a friend from the stands who had never played before! Matt coached him on the sidelines and he jumped in to help us from forfeiture that day (Coach Matt was only “dad Matt” then though). He also happened to be super athletic, and huge, and scored multiple tries that day! He was going to join in rugby after that, but unfortunately the distance we have to travel to find a boys team to train with was just too much as he lives in Crowsnest Pass, so it would be 2 hours one way to find a team to play with. 🥺 Sadly, Crowsnest Pass once had its own 15-person team, but with no support and a lack of coaching staff the team never got back up after Covid. Coach Matt back then had a job that prevented him from being available on a regular basis so he couldn’t coach at that time. It would be amazing if that school decided to one day bring the sport back as an option though.
