I hope you like it :) please excuse the typo (smooth)* on the 6th slide TT It was written over almost 3 months, and started out as just the first 2 paras... the 3rd para was going to be it's own poem but I realised that it belonged with this one XD I hadn't thought of a title and struggled a bit to find a fitting one... and then I was reminded of this scene from Asumiko Nakamura's Doukyuusei. Sajou and Kusakabe are such a healthy, loving couple (the only one among the other couples in the series sadly). I have been thinking about the conversation we had on the train when she asked me if I like her and I told her that I do but it’s not her problem, it’s mine because I knew that she does not feel the same way about me the way she feels about him but I never reached a point where I could share it with her or anyone that at that moment when I realized that I love her and I had to walk away from her, a part of my heart dies in there. I always thought about her, wished all the good things for her, and started living my life according to her set of rules and evolved but a part of me was still at the hilltop looking into her eyes and waiting for her to tell me to stay because I didn’t want to leave her. She was so full of life that maybe the thought of me falling for her never crossed her mind but I guess her sister did. I didn’t reach out to her to check up on her because I thought I need to move on and let her live the life she always dreamt of. When I started singing once again and was always in a good mood, my friend knew that it couldn’t have been just the rejuvenating trip I told him I was on but it was her effect. Live each day as if it's your last right? But in that happy moment of my life, I missed her, I missed her presence in my life and how annoying she is, and how her over-dramatic way of expressing things would piss me off and we would eventually do things her way. I see her now walking and talking with people in this foreign city but the spark that made her is gone. She is no longer the person I met on the train but she is someone I want to hold close to my heart and care for while reminding her that no matter what, I am not going anywhere. I will never tell her that the way she made me fall in love with my life is the same way she made me fall in love with her but I had to walk away because I think I loved her a little too much. I guess this is what people call selfless love eh? Heartbreaking but a beautiful feeling.

JWM - PART 1😁 I loved reading about #jabwemet as well as watching it. Became a fan of it and #imtiazali once again! When I read it, I had to know how the music and songs worked, and Imtiaz has done that so smoothly asking for a perfect bg sound and songs esp. with Irshad Kamil’s lyrics.❤️ Shots: The obviously most problematic shot was the toy train shots: Aditya thinking of jumping and when they chase it! What I loved were the Imtiaz shots of road/journey from the character’s pov! #purelove 🏔️ Dialogues: With Geet’s entry, we get introduced to this movie’s funny and witty short dialogues. Especially with “Khulli Tijori” dialogue; that one is mentioned thrice in the film and delivers different comic effects depending on who says it. (The station master/A harasser talking with the vendor-paniwala at the station/Geet before her grandpa) Aditya’s speech to his company people is almost entirely changed than the one in the script, and I loved it how it turned out to be. It’s realistic and fun and not too personal or too motivational as it was written.✨ With “Tum Anshuman ki side le rahe ho!” “Main tumhari side bhi toh le rahaa hoon!”, we see how Aditya tries to help her make a decision, but throughout the film we see their influences on each other, with dialogues like “Actually” and “Insaan jo real me chahta hai, actually, use wahi milta hai”, but then their major life decisions are always taken by themselves, especially about what they want, whether it’s leaving Geet behind or whether marrying the right guy, they understand the wrong influence of the other person and go with what their heart tells, and I loved it! I loved it how it talked of the human tendency so minutely! ❤️ Fav dialogue and maybe an improvisation goes to “-Jaise ki koi train chhoot rahi ho” (Esp. when her mind speaks that again from a flashback and we hear the train horn blow with Aditya’s leaving.) That one was enough to make us tell the character: yes, it’s Aditya, go with him! I love the movies when it takes the turn and goes with what we tell. (i.e., ‘Palat’ scene from DDLJ.) 🥺
