Behold, the main characters from an old project I made years ago, shelved because it was a horrible hot mess and then rebooted because I finally found a way to make it work, titled The Book of Buyan The main plot focuses on these two sorcerers, Zephyr and Fade, going on a quest guided by the eponymous spell book, to find the soul of the necromancer Koschei The Deathless, all while being hunted by two detectives and a society that deems them immoral due to their magic Zephyr is a Clairvoyant, a sorcerer that basically has psychic powers, not too different from a Jedi except without the lightsaber He is always accompanied by his familiar, a wolf pup named Snowdrop, who is often puzzled by his optimism in the face of an unjust world Fade is an Elemental and basically has similar powers to Aang from The Last Airbender He’s also over 500 years old due to unknowingly drinking the elixir of life and is thoroughly jaded by immortality and life in general His dragon familiar, Pom-Pom, is the complete opposite and wants nothing more than to explore the world These two will embark on an adventure that takes them around the world, challenges and transforms their worldviews and will be a graphic novel as opposed to an animation (as is the intention with most of my projects) Once I have complete designs for the other characters, I’ll post them as well, but for now enjoy the boys 💖 PS: Fade is human, but he combined a shapeshifting potion with peach tea and grew a tail as a result #darkfantasy #heroforge #ocs #sorcerers #sorcererocs #zephyr #fade #snowdrop #pompom #wolf #dragon #clairvoyant #elemental #magic #graphicnovelidea #thebookofbuyan #originalintellectualproperty
