My shampoo bars are all made with natural ingredients and are free off sulfates and parabens. It’s good to take a closer at that. Especially when it comes to surfactants. Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate also called SCI powder is the mildest surfactant and it is sulfate free. This ingredients helps to clean your hair and remove dirt or debris. But you don’t want it to be harsh on your scalp because this can cause so many problems. The one I use is made from coconut. SCI powder and SLSA are the only two surfactant that are sulfate free. Don’t let you fool you when other bigger companies state something different. I use SCI Powder as it is already ph-balanced and I don’t have to add citric acid to bring the ph down to what our scalp and hair needs in order for it to be healthy. The less ingredients the better.
