A mother's job doesn't end… 🏃🏾♀️ ✅ Facilitated a team-building workshop @mytbydesign yesterday. ✅ Created a pre-birthday experience for my son (turning 13 tomorrow) & his crew: 🍔 Take the boys to eat 🍪 Grab more snacks @HarpsFood 🏊♂️ Stayed at a hotel so the boys can splash in the pool 🍟 Took the boys for a late-night McDonald's snack run ✅ Woke up boys this morning to eat continental breakfast - these growing kids can EAT! 🏈🍳 ✅ Dropped the kiddos off, then back to the store with hubby & son to grab more food for today & tomorrow's family dinner. Ribs are in the crockpot, and now I'm prepping/washing my collards and mustard greens to start cooking! 🥬✨ But through it all, the smiles on my son and kids faces make it all worth it. We even had auntie @srharpe81 , my daughter, niece, and friend stop by for the fun. 💖 Here's to all the supermoms out there juggling it all with style and humor. Everyone including me had such a fun time yesterday in my Meditative Mandala Mosaics workshop at Arts on the Block. The students created beautiful textured mosaics, putting personal meaning into their work. Some people used items that had been passed down from a grandmother, treasured by a mother, or collected on a special trip to Italy. There were tributes to loved ones who had passed, celebrations of nature, explorations of layering glass and creating different textures. Studying clouds, and taking in the natural world, or a colorful flower garden. This has always distracted her from the current troubles. She finds clouds fascinating. Their movement, how you can identify shapes of animals within them, and how light and color plays off of the clouds. This leaves Elizabeth restored. These studies were a focus on developing artistic skills in painting different types of clouds, as well as light and color play. Elizabeth's mission is to bring the gift nature offers her to the art viewer. Elizabeth sees her art as not just pretty, but a bridge between chaos and serenity.
