Perpetual is delighted to offer collectors the chance to get their hands on another one of Hodinkee’s coveted collaborations - this time, the TAG Heuer Limited Edition Carrera Skipper for HODINKEE. With fewer than 20 original examples of the “Skipperera” reference 7754 to have ever been found, the 1967 commissioned Chronograph has become somewhat of a cult TAG Heuer reference amongst vintage watch collectors. In 2017, Hodinkee reimagined one of their (allegedly) favourite Chronographs, and gave us a modernised 39mm version of the Carrera Skipper, created in partnership with TAG Heuer. Made in a limited edition of 125 watches, this chronograph stays true to the line’s historical models – the pops of orange, dark blue and light green match both the original Skipper 7754, as well as the “Heuer” inscription.
Another week, another incredible event in another amazing location, with more to come. After the excitement of Watches & Wonders a number of us were in China a few days later for the launch of our biggest event in the country to date, an amazing pop-up in IFC Mall in Shanghai. It was a great experience to be back in the region after so long away, particularly with the excitement around the Grand Prix, and to meet so many people with a passion for TAG Heuer, watchmaking and motorsport. Between the pop up and our boutiques, it perfectly proved the benefits of being there in person to understand where TAG Heuer is up to in a key market for the industry, how we communicate around the brand , and to help us develop insight in to what we can offer in the future regarding our products and our marketing messages for the region. Well done to all who made it possible and thank you to so many friends of the brand who made the event extra special, I’m looking forward to being back in China again in the future.
