Pro styling tips after curling your hair🌀👇🏼 💫When brushing out your curls, start from your ends and work your way up to your scalp! Keeping your hair detangled during the curling process ensures that there won’t be any snagging, added tension and loss of curl. Use a fine tooth comb or brush for a smoother look or a wide room comb/pick or your fingers for a more textured look. 💫If using your fingers to comb through your curls, coat your hands in a hair oil to prevent static and frizz! I suggest the Bassu or Blowout oil for lightweight moisture or the Curls Serum if your needing to break up your diffused look (“known as breaking the cast”) Hot Tip: mist your brush or comb with Bassu Shine Spray to have this same anti-static effect with your tools! 💫For added volume, when using your texture spray, flip your head upside-down! I like to use the Awaken Texture Spray during this step. Once I flip my head back over, I use the Blowout Firm Finishing Spray to keep that volume and texture in place, then finish everything off with Bassu Shine Spray for a finish with luster and to lay down unwanted fly-aways! Last week we met the owner of the @cleaneatzfishersin and during our conversation we learned that Jeff and his wife Cass included their two pups in their wedding day a few years ago! He told me that it was awesome to have them there but that the responsibility was given to a cousin and they ended up getting sick before the wedding and the responsibility was handed off to a different cousin and it all worked out!! Today is World Book Day! If you didn’t know, I am a total bookworm. Regardless of where I am, I have a book on hand. It may be in the Kindle or Nook app on my phone, but regardless, there is always one with me for the free moments in life. Bookish Facts About Me: 1. “Is my hair long enough to put up? Do I need extensions?”🤷🏻♀️ We get this question all the time, and most times we surprise our guests with what we can do with their length and thickness, no extensions needed. If you’re worried about the amount of hair you have for your style, we may just need to alter the style to meet your needs. For instance, Blair wanted a curly French twist updo for an event she was attending and instead of being able to do it how we normally would, we just had to approach it differently to work for her length. If someone really wants extra length or thickness than we are able to give them, then we recommend clip in extensions. If extensions are not in the budget, then we can help find another style option that will work better for your hair. I often talk about having a daily skincare routine, but you may be wondering, why is it actually important for makeup application? Let me break it down for you.👇🏻 I’ve applied makeup to hundreds of faces and have noticed that one of the biggest struggles most deal with is dull dry skin. Im sorry to have to tell you this....but... Absolutely NO foundation, no matter how glowy of a finish it says it will give you, will look as good on dry skin.😬 It gets stuck to the dryness and doesn’t spread out as it should. This is why your foundation can look botchy or heavy giving that “cake face” look. Graceful Gathering changed my life last year. So many things started to shift in my mind and heart while I sat in a really beautiful but uncomfortable chair. Which ironically is like life, sometimes we have to go out of our comfort zone to get to the beautiful things meant for us. Today is my last day at Graceful Gathering 2024 and my heart and soul is on fire. Nothing about ME has changed but I fell more confident in the tools and skills I have to love you the best I can. Spiritual and emotional things started to hit close to my heart and click in my brain. I could honestly go on for days, but the ocean is calling my name for one last walk on the beach.
