Say hello Ringo Starr, the goofy, 2yr old wonder pup! Ringo has been settling in nicely with his new foster mom in VT, and now ready to interview a family to call his own. He may look like a larger dog in the pics and even has a deep big dog bark, but this little cutie is on the smaller side at about 35 pounds and knee height! Your guess is as good as ours on what breed he is, but what we do know that he’s a fun loving guy who enjoys cozy couch time and belly rubs as much as he does a long romp in the woods. He’s even been working on his off leash skills and likes to stay close to his people. Ringo needs a little support from his coach when meeting new people and dogs, but does well with slower, respectful introductions and has been doing well meeting people and dogs alike on the trail. He gets a bit overwhelmed with boisterous over excited dogs (and people) and would do best in a quieter home with no kiddos. He has been enjoying time with his foster brother and sister (both beagle pups) and loves to run around the yard and play. Ringo Starr is fully house trained and crate trained, sleeping through the night without stirring or complaining. He’s a happy guy to wake up to and get your day started with a sloppy kiss. We have not tested him with cats yet, more info to come. For adoption - Meet Treacle Please excuse Treacle’s appearance, he’s been through a lot and is in the phase of looking worse before he looks better. Treacle is approx 3 years old, domestic long hair, male, neutered, vaccinated and microchipped and dewormed. He is FIVpositive, FELV negative, Corona negative. Treacle was rescued from a Dubai park where he was cowering in a bush where he was clearly in need of medical help, he had a dislocated back hip and tendon damage to his front left leg as well as a heavily matted coat which need full shaving and revealed some skin irritations due to the matting. The poor boy has had a tough time, his injuries are believed to be from a fall such as from a balcony or from a car. His front leg may improve a certain amount but will most likely remain lame. It doesn’t cause his pain and he is able to use it to play etc but for running he tends not to use it. Treacle is a loving friendly boy, he loves to cuddle up with his humans and has a purr that you can hear a mile away. He is playful every so often but really loves to hang out with his humans and chill. As he is FIV+ he needs a good diet and should be indoors only to keep his immune system as strong as possible. He can be with other cats as FIv is only passed through deep bites but slow introductions are required go@make it as stress free as possible Treacle is available for local and international adoptions. Update on our black beauty - Treacle. Treacle was rescued from the park almost 2 months ago now where he was cowering in a bush clearly in pain and struggling to walk. We got him to the vet where he was found to have a dislocated back leg as well as tendon damage to his from leg, it’s thought he may have fallen from a balcony or been thrown from a car based on his injuries. His coat was severely matted which meant he had to have a full shave so he looks a bit like a plucked chicken right now. Throw in a skin irritation and he look like he’s been through the ringer. His front leg there is little that can be done for now so we are seeing if there is any natural improvement over time. He is also FIV+ He’s the most loving affectionate cat and is loving being with his foster who is encouraging him to trust again. He still needs some time to learn to trust again but the other side of the summer he will be ready to find his furever home. Treacle’s surgery was over 7000aed which we are still paying off. Get in touch if you would like to support his treament at all. 🐰❣️Kaninchen Freunde aufgepasst❣️🐰 Das ist unsere hübsche Löwenköpfchendame Pua.❤ Pua kam zusammen mit 8 weiteren Kaninchen und 2 Meerschweinchen als Sicherstellung von den Behörden zu uns ins Tierheim. Leider wurden sie nicht artgerecht gehalten. 😔 Pua ist typisch Jungkaninchen, eine aufgeweckte kleine Kaninchendame, die neugierig und lieb auf uns Menschen reagiert aber dennoch noch recht schüchtern sich uns gegenüber verhält. Mit Sicherheit wird sie in einem geduldigen Zuhause ganz schnell auftauen und noch zutraulicher werden. Trinity was rescued after 3 years in a cage with 2 other cats. She’s under treatment for mycoplasma but is well enough to leave the vets so we can get her out of a cage at last. We just need a foster for her. She needs a patient foster who can spend time with her getting her used to life outside a cage so an experienced cat owner is preferred. We have a full foster kit for her so all you need is a spare room and some love and kindness to show her so we can get her on her journey to a happy ever after. Due to no fosters currently being available we have had to stop any more rescue as we can’t keep cats indefinitely at the vets. Happy Spring! 🪴🌷🍄This is the beginning of allergy AND flea & tick season🤪! While Apple Cider Vinegar is amazing and has loads of uses, my favorite is as a non-toxic flea & tick repellent. Simply fill a spray bottle with 1/2 organic apple cider vinegar and 1/2 water solution: bring 1 pint of water to a boil. Add lemon slices, and sprigs of fresh rosemary. Turn off heat, cover and let mixture steep overnight. Strain water into the remaining 1/2 of your spray bottle. Add a few drops of Lavendar essential oil. Spray on your pet before heading outdoors. Spray generously on their behind/potty area😻Do not spray directly on your pet’s face and be very careful not to get near their eyes. This works great for killing ants/insects in your home and on outdoor lawns and plants. It’s SAFE, INEXPENSIVE, and best of all: NON-TOXIC. ☠️. Joker hat seinen Wesenstest bestanden 🤗🥳 Damit hat er einen großen Schritt in Richtung eigenes Zuhause gemacht, denn einer Vermittlung steht nun nichts mehr im Weg 👏 Joker ist vermutlich eine Mischung aus Am.Staff und Bulldogge und mit seinen vier Jahren ein sportlicher und menschenbezogener Rüde. Zwischen gefallen wollen und typischem Dickkopf ist jedenfalls ganz viel Platz für gemeinsame Abenteuer und Erlebnisse. Spaziergänge machen großen Spass mit ihm, er ist sehr gut erzogen, kennt die meisten Signale, ist aufmerksam und höflich. Im Auto fährt er gerne mit, vor allem wenn das Ziel eine Badestelle am Bach ist 😄💦 Bei anderen Hunden ist er sehr interessiert, neugierig und freundlich, im direkten Kontakt aber sehr aufgeregt und distanzlos. Da scheint er bisher nicht viel Kontakt gehabt zu haben und braucht Anleitung. Weil er gerne bei seinen Menschen ist, das im aber Tierheim leider nicht immer geht, ist er hier oft frustriert und aufgeregt. Da müssen dann manchmal Schrubber und Besen dran glauben und werden klein geschreddert 🙈 Alleine bleiben klappt aber trotzdem gut, vor allem wenn es im Tierheim insgesamt ruhig ist. Für Joker suchen wir aktive und hundeerfahrene Menschen ohne Kinder mit ruhigen Haushalt. Update on CeCe😍 CeCe went to @petvethi today to have 2nd leptospirosis booster shot! She did well and she gained little bit! Her foster has been caring for her very well❤️❤️❤️ As one of her teeth is loose and her breath is stinky, we got antibiotics and pain meds. Hopefully this will help her to feel better. We're still trying to gain her weight🙏🙏🙏 She's 12 years old, 4lbs, chihuahua/jack russell girl. She is mostly blind, house broken, friendly, sweet and loving. @tohanimalshelter Tucker is a 4 year old Labrador Retriever mix, who came into the shelter as an owner surrender. So far Tucker is a bit anxious and nervous coming out of the kennels, but once he's out of the kennel, he loves going on walks! He enjoys playing in our play yards, chasing after balls (but not retrieving). His previous family stated he is accustomed to brushing, nails trims and general grooming. We would love to see Tucker get into a home that understands he needs patience and a little extra TLC. He is recommended to a home with respectful teens, 15 and up. Here at our shelter, we’ve been working with our adoptable dog named Gumbo; similar to the complex stew, many different ingredients have gone into creating the dog he is today. Unfortunately, he is still in need of one vital ingredient that we are desperately hoping to find through this plea to the public: a home. Our Gumbo currently has these ingredients: lots of energy, loves chasing tennis balls, gorgeous brown and white colors, 70+ pounds of pure dog, loves to self-entertain with toys, loves treats, does well with other active dogs, knows basic commands and is currently learning even more better behaviors with The Positive Pack.❤️ Gumbo hopes for a home that’s active, taking him on lots of adventures. He hopes that they will continue his training and help teach him to be the best dog. He hopes for a home full of tennis balls but knows that may be a bit unreasonable…20 or so should be sufficient. Gumbo also wouldn’t mind having an active dog friend to play with. Since Gumbo has arrived in the shelter just over a month ago, he has gotten progressively more stressed and is truly struggling here. Last week I wrote about Pientje and the pain in her foot. After a visit to the vet, things seemed to be better for a while. Unfortunately, the pain soon returned... 😢 . The inflammation in her paw did not go away completely on its own due to the medication, and so the vet had to operate on her to address the problem locally. Pientje left for a while to dreamland, and half an hour later she was woken up again. She was in quite a lot of pain and suffering from the surgery, and didn’t eat much for the past few days. 😞 Fortunately, she is now getting noticeably better and better. Jest mu trudno rozstawać się ze swoimi ludźmi, ale wiemy już, że potrafi zostawać w domu bez zbędnej demolki. To jeszcze młodziak, ale jego życie było do tej pory bardzo niestabilne. W przyszłym domu będzie potrzebował najpierw uspokoić ciało i duszę, by pokazać swój prawdziwy, miły charakter. Guinness potrzebuje asertywnych, pewnych siebie opiekunów, którzy w sposób spokojny i wyważony pokażą mu zasady domowe. Boy oh boy, what a challenging week it was 😅 … • on Monday night, Walterke 🐏 had accidentally broken out of the meadow so we had to run across a huge potato field to get him back. I luckily got help from some kind neighbors. 🙏🏻 • On Wednesday, some children rang our doorbell because Cyril & Gaspard 🐑🐑 had entangled themselves in ropes and urgently had to be freed. • On Thursday morning Hektor 🐴had find a way out of his meadow and found some long, fresh grass. He unfortunately ate way too much of it and got colic! Luckily I saw it happen and called the vet immediately, he got some injections and was completely fine a few hours later. In the evening my brother and his family came over to help us put up some new fences because Hektor will always try to find a way to more food. I can’t really blame the boy because he was seized because of neglect and was extremely thin when the police seized him. • And on Friday my beautiful Helena 🐎 went to the hospital to get treatment for her skin tumor. 💔 So yeah, let’s just say I’m a quite exhausted animal mom. 🥱 Yes, I do consider them all as my babies and I love them with all of my heart. But boy, this week they gave me very little peace of mind. 😅

Ikara ktoś bardzo skrzywdził. Tak bardzo, że boi się wyjść z budy kiedy człowiek jest w boksie. Wtedy chowa się w najdalszym kącie budy obserwując wejście czy nikt się nie zbliża. 😢 Co musiało się wydarzyć, że ten młody pies tak się boi człowieka? Ikar jeszcze nie jest gotowy do adopcji, ale zrobimy wszystko żeby pewnego dnia na zaufał i otworzył się ponownie na ludzi.
