✨ Picture Day ✨ The Graybies Our slender faced babe! This is one of our 2 smaller runts of the litter. So far they are the king (or queen, i haven’t checked yet) of comf and definitely love to snuggle underneath their little cat stuffy the most. (Copied caption for graybie update) I am so happy to say that these babies are making some awesome improvements 🥹 despite still battling some gnarly diarrhea their appetites are through the roof and they are actually getting restful sleep! We’re no longer having a constant sea of crying in discomfort. They are gaining weight and eating great. Best of all, even though 3 of the 4 are missing tails (Manx kittens) they all appear to be able to control their bladders & bowels. Yesterday DeWalt went home with his forever family and has already settled right in! ❤️ All of Michi’s kittens have been adopted now, but beautiful momma Michi is still available for adoption! Also a huge shoutout/thanks goes to @amanda.webb.26 who made and gave me so many beautiful blankets for my fosters, including the yellow one next to DeWalt! ACTUALIZACION SOBRE PEPA 🐈🐈🐈🐈🐈🐈🐈🐈🐈🐈🐈🐈🐈 Hoy le tocaba revisión a Pepa y la verdad, nos hemos quedado un poco(bastante) chafados porque no es lo que esperábamos oír😔. Su hematócrito ha vuelto a bajar, llegó a subir a 20 pero luego bajó a 18 y ahora está a 15, es decir, su anemia poco a poco va empeorando. También se ha visto en la ecografia que uno de sus riñones ha crecido, que junto a su problema del corazón esto se traduce a que comienza a haber descompensaciones. Lo bueno??? Que apenas ya tiene líquido, come con ganas, ha engordado, está preciosa, juega con cualquier cosa y le encanta estar con otros gatos, pero siendo sinceros, esperábamos oír que está mejor.Sabíamos era una gatita enferma, con un corazón enfermo, pero de verdad verla comerse el mundo como se lo come nos daba muchas esperanzas. A Pepa no le prometí una larga vida pero si le he prometido la mejor vida y eso, cueste lo que cueste lo va a tener, os lo aseguramos. Nos encantaría poder encontrar un hogar para ella, una acogida indefinida para que viva tranquila, donde le den su medicación y entiendan que la vida no va de tiempo, si no de calidad...ojalá se hiciera real!!!🍀, mientras, aquí, en esta repleta y loca casita llena de amor intentaremos tenga esa vida digna que nunca tuvo. Our 5 munchkins celebrate their sweet 16-day birthday today! 🥳 Besides their eyes opening, the past week has seen all sorts of developments. They change by the day! They’ve gained a healthy 150g each and have really started to play and wrestle. They still drunk walk but it feels like they’ll be zooming about in no time!
My last two Panleuk miracle kittens, Luc and Maze. 🖤🩶 Panleukopenia is almost always fatal in kittens. Most shelters would put them down immediately; it’s highly contagious, and most don’t have the time, knowledge or resources to try to keep them alive. Fortunately, I caught the symptoms early and One of Kind Pets provided the equipment and knowledge to attempt to save their litter of six. Luc and Maze were the two at death’s door. They required tube feeding every four hours, 22 ml. of subcutaneous fluids and injections of two different medications twice daily. In other words, I was shoving a tube down their throats every four hours and sticking them with needles six times a day. They were also leaking diarrhea all day and night. It was horrible. At one point, I wondered if I was truly saving their lives or just torturing them at the end of it. They were barely moving. I didn’t include any photos of them at that time. It was heartbreaking. It truly a miracle that they survived!
