Giving back to my city here in Orlando is personal for me. I know what it’s like to have nothing. To hit rock bottom. To start over again—multiple times. And I admit; my problems were never to the degree of complete strangers who I met tonight. Still, it leaves my heart warm and full to serve and help out. The experience puts my own life into perspective. I think about the things I worry about and realize they’re not as big of a deal. There are people with much greater worries. Grateful and thankful for the opportunity to #VoluntEAR with my own and Disney family, and meet some new friends. To see my boys jumping in hands first to serve—I am so proud. We served dinner to men, women and children at our local homeless and displacement shelter. The empath in me had to squeeze and hold back every tear from streaming down my face—revealing all the feels… I'm thankful and grateful for my life, my family—everything.
