SHOUT! Yesterday evening, our volunteer crew on our Renee Sherman lifeboat were tasked to help a 24-foot yacht with two people aboard. The yacht was one mile south west of Littlehampton, becalmed and with engine failure. Our crew towed the yacht to the safety of Littlehampton Harbour.

I spent nearly 3 hours in the sea, messing about with my son and then after he wimped out, I bobbed about, with the sun in my face, holding onto a boogie board and just took it all in… After my brain telling me it would be a nightmare, embarrassing and a general bad experience; it was lovely, so it just shows that sometimes your brain is full of shi*t and should be ignored! Eastbourne - Littlehampton 80,16 km 🚴♀️ Als eerste vanmorgen naar de pier in Eastbourne gegaan. Als je in Engeland er een beetje bij wil horen als badplaats heb je een pier. Later op de dag ook nog bij de pier in Brighton en Worthing geweest. In Brighton mocht ik met de fiets in de hand niet de pier op. Jammer. In Eastbourne en Worthing was dat geen probleem. Tussen Eastbourne en Brighton liggen de South Downs. Een hele rij krijtrotsen. We’d like to say a huge thank you to White Meadows Primary Academy, in Littlehampton. 🙏⭐ Everyone there has been working very hard to raise money for their chosen charity, the @RNLI. They decided to hold a whole school non-uniform day, asking for sweet donations in return for children being able to wear their own clothes. Using the donated sweets, they made sweet cones, which were sold after school. They raised an incredible £150, which they brought to the lifeboat station earlier this week. Thank you so much for your hard work and support – you’re helping us save lives at sea! 🙏⭐
