Hawai’i Food Review: Mahina & Sun’s Restaurant. Tucked inside the Surfjack is this little gem. “Elevated home cooking” is the claim, the result is far beyond! Super fresh ingredients, simply prepared and deliciously delivered. The A’u Crudo (Blue Marlin) was sensational…smoky, savory and satisfying. Avo tacos, Ahi toast and kale salad all shined. The Hebi (spearfish) with long beans, squash, roasted mushrooms, bok choy, chayote and a delicate coconut cream vinaigrette was a dream. Followed by a stroll through the Waikiki area after dinner…simply sublime.
