Como a maioria desses reflexos ficou as áreas de baixo da armadura, usei o efeito como uma forma de contornar e destacar as formas da escultura. 🇬🇧🇺🇸🔥 Almost there, still in need of some retouches! Our "CHULT" campaign was super fun the other night as the group had to navigate a river chase and then descend multiple waterfalls before sneaking into a Batiri Goblin Camp. Looks like the Batiri have teamed up with Cult of Frost and Kaverin Ebonhand. I ran out of goblins so the kobolds are goblins and each goblin represents 10 batiri. Luckily our group has Dain, who is super friendly with the Grung. He was able to get two chiefs, Chief Yorb and Chief M'bapu, to join them with a group of Grung Elite Warriors. Each Grung ( other than the chiefs ) represents 10 warriors. This was a long battle with a ton of super smart planning by the group. They also had Dargonbait and Artus Cimber on their side who they had just saved from a hag coven. What a crazy night. More to come. Kolejna figurka z Wiedźmin Stary Świat ukończona. Sporo się na niej nauczyłem. Pierwszy raz użyłem glazingu, tj kładzenia półprzeźroczystej warstwy koloru jedna na drugiej w celu stworzenia płynnego przejścia totalnego. W tak małej skali trudno to dostrzec, więc zaznaczę, że użyłem jej do cieniowania skóry i skrzydeł. Szatę z kolei pomalowałem metodą layeringu, tj: kolor bazowy brąz a światła to głęboko czerwień. Coraz rzadziej używam washy, czyli wypełnianie rowków i głębszych miejsc ciemnym oleistym pigmentem. Na początku to całkiem magiczna metoda, bo daje szybki efekt "cieniowania". Potem euforia opada, bo wash psuje wcześniej nałożone kolory, tj przyciemnia je i sprawia, że delikatne przejścia tonalne szlag trafia. Użyłem washy tylko do pokrycia kamieni, bo są tak małe, że szkoda czasu na ręczne ogarnianie ich. Wyzwaniem było pomalowanie kości skrzydeł i też nadanie skórze skrzydeł organicznego wyglądu. Są więc brązowo-żółto-fioletowe. Tak, fiolet doskonale nadaje się do cieniowania skóry. Zacząłem tą figurkę z dużymi ambicjami - cieniowanie mięśni uznałem za priorytet. Pierwsza próba wyszła beznadziejnie. Druga zaskakująco dobrze:) Ogromną zaletą malowania akrylami jest ich zmywalność. Quick and Simple Spartan Guide for Legions Imperialis - Imperial Fists Pic 1 - End Result - follow the below steps to achieve this result! Pic 2 - Spray Prime - Colour Forge Sanguine Red (any red primer will do). I choose Colour Forge as it's a cheaper alternative to GW, great Matt finish and you get more in a can! Pic 3 - Zenithal Highlight with Tamiya XF2 Flat White (any white will do) I applied this via an airbrush, but you could quite easily dry brush - I'd recommend looking at Artis Opus Series D Pic 4 - Tint with GW Imperial Fist Contrast - again, I applied this with an airbrush as it's quicker and avoids brushmarks, however you can still get great results by applying by brush carefully. Pic 5 - Oil wash with Winsor & Newton Oil Colour Burnt Umber (dilute with Winsor & Newton Sansodor solvent). You'll need to let this dry, and I recommend letting this dry overnight 24 hours. This will provide a more grainy/ grubbier look to the armour, with some interesting colour variation in the recesses. If there has been some pooling, you can glaze a little yriel yellow onto the area, and tint again with imperial fist, however I'd also suggest turning this into battle damage (see pic 8 description) Pic 6 - Black out all Black Bits & Metals with AK Black Pic 7 - Apply Scale 75 Black Metal to all metal areas. Wash with GW Nuln Oil Pic 8 - Scratches with Rinox Hide on yellow areas, yriel yellow on black areas. You can apply a fine line/ dots of yriel yellow underneath the brown scratches to hint a highlight, and add a tiny bit of white to the mix for greater contrast. Transfers: Apply Gloss varnish to the areas you'd like to apply the transfers. Wait to dry, then place transfer, then position correctly with brush. Use some Micro Sol to soften transfer. Wait to dry. Apply More Gloss varnish over area. Wait to dry Apply Matt varnish over transfer. You may wish to apply Matt varnish over surrounding area to help "blend in". As a new DM, this one caught me by surprise... The group was going thru a sewer and had had some encounters previous that led them to believe they were walking into a trap. They decided to pretend they were a Dragon to which a lone goblin was sent in to investigate. As the goblin was nearing, the group came running around the corner screaming about a dragon as the sorcerer created all the needed sound effects. Their performance was good enough to get the whole group running and as they came up on more mercenaries they were able to then convince them and on and on this went until about a dozen "bad guys" were running from their lives. This made them give up their tactical positions and gave the good guys a round to figure out their attacks. It was hilarious and completely out of left field. Oh and here are some pics of the D&D room as I added a blackout curtain and a monitor at the back with the initiative order / displaying videos and maps that is run by a chromebox I mounted under the table.
