New Year, new series! So I've finally come to the obvious conclusion that I have way too many eyeshadow palettes in my collection. I have so many that more than half of what I have is currently untouched 😰 I want to change that. So I have decided that this year, I will be focusing on 1 eyeshadow palette each week, starting from this week and combine that with my 3-looks-1-palette series. I'm thinking this combination of the @natashadenonabeauty Mini Star Palette + @colourpopcosmetics The Child palette could be a good dupe for the Sage the Day palette that Colourpop just released 🌿 I really like how the @natashadenonabeauty Mini Star palette and @colourpopcosmetics The Child palette complement each other, the colour stories have similarities, and actually two of the shades in both palettes are pretty much exactly alike: Atik (ND) + Just Like A Tattooine (CP) are pretty much exact dupes with the Colourpop shade being ever so slightly deeper. Earth (ND) + Droid Protocol (CP) are total dupes. (The last photo in this post is a swatch of the dupes and the colour shifting shade Orion). The only shade that really sets apart The Child palette from Sage the Day is a multi shift blue brown type of colour, so when I saw Orion in the Star Palette I knew this would be a great fit. The formula in both of these palettes is excellent, I've seen many people saying that The Child eyeshadow formula is one of the best in the Colourpop lineup and I have to agree. The metallics, satins, shimmers, and mattes all perform well, you can build each colour with minimum fallout and the colour payoff is beautiful. The cooler tones and wide range of depth in the shades make The Child a very fun palette to work with. I own a few Natasha Denona mini palettes and I love them all, the formula is smooth and picks up very silky. There's minimal to no fallout with the shades and the colour payoff is excellent. I personally really love this mini palette and find that I'm able to get a wide variety of looks even though there are only five colours in the whole palette.
