After a week and a bit of closure for a touch up, a refit of the kitchen and some deep cleaning we are excited to be opening up at 5pm this evening, Friday 24th May, with a new head chef Will Scott-Burrows at the helm and an all new kitchen brigade. We have known Will for a few years through a shared love of Japanese cookery. His resume reads like a north east dining wish list having spent time in some exceptional kitchens around the region. There is a new menu that will be evolving throughout the next month or so with specials added to the blackboards daily. Unfortunately due to an issue with our extraction system we are having to close today and tomorrow. Roy and Paul will be personally contacting everyone who has a booking to dine with us over the weekend. We have tried everything and had specialist trades people on site today to try and fix the issue but it seems like it’s a no go this weekend. We will be back open on Monday evening from 5:30pm. We are deeply sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. The decision to close for the weekend is not something we have taken lightly. With the situation the way it is we just can’t offer the same food and service for which we have built our reputation and therefore the decision was made to close up for a couple of days while repairs are made. We hope that with a reasonable amount of notice given to our guests that they might be able to get a table booked at one of the many great food spots around the area. We hope to see you all soon.
