On the playlist @masterp “MP Da Last Don” Master P double disc album and was marketed as his retirement album but he returned a year later. I was a huge No Limit fan at the time of this release. Master P – MP Da Last Don MP Da Last Don is the seventh studio album by American rapper Master P. It was released by No Limit Records, Priority Records and EMI. It features guest appearances by Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, E-40, Silkk the Shocker, UGK, Snoop Dogg and Soulja Slim. 一直以來都在東西岸打轉，終於有機會往南移動，才發現南岸完全是另一個嶄新的世界，但也不得不說這幾天看著這些資料心情實在是大好，滿滿的一直都超喜歡的Pen & Pixel出品財大氣粗的封面，一張比一張閃，一張比一張浮誇。(再次感謝饒舌狂愛之家提點，拿到關鍵密碼開啟新世界~) 提到Master P的生涯與經歷總會讓我想到Dr Dre，如果說東岸有Puffy，西岸有Dre，那南岸集饒舌、製作、企業於一身的狠角色絕對是Master P (更狠的是Master P還會打籃球)，同樣遭遇至親被殺，一手創了No Limit Records，使得南岸嘻哈(特別是紐奧良) 在1990年代中期之後大放異彩讓更多人看見。 雙CD大王Master P戰力十足，光是個人就出了15張專輯，他的嘻哈團體TRU (到後期只剩下Miller三兄弟在撐)發了6張，以及後期的Miller三兄弟老班底加上幾個No Limit成員的504 Boyz、Money Mafia等。1995年之後他將No Limit Records搬回紐奧良，除了原本的加州兄弟之外，也正式開啟了紐奧良的大門，除了Pen & Pixel PS出來一個比一個誇張的封面(愛死)和製作快和曲目多到很有誠意之外，另一個特色就是內部成員在不同專輯客串跑來跑去，1998年在Snoop離開Death Row Records之後更是找他出了第三張專輯(和之後的)，成為No Limit非常重要的一張專輯。 一下跳到第七張專輯MP Da Last Don，P的假退休作，也是他的最暢銷專輯，更是No Limit顛峰之作，由御用製作團隊Beats by the Pound製作，Tracklist同樣是長長一拖拉庫，除了自己家的人互相串門子之外，請來南方嘉賓Bone Thugs-n-Harmony和UGK。除了專輯之外，同年也出了同名犯罪電影，同樣獲得好評，真的很猛。 喜歡Snoop 的我，這張專輯幾首有Snoop 參與的我都很喜歡（有種親切感），尤其像是Soldiers, Riders, & G’s，Snoop 依舊保持其隨性輕鬆的調調，反觀P在強硬裡頭拳拳到肉，卻融合的恰到好處。 專輯中除了充滿黑幫、暴徒或女人的內容之外，還是有關於貧民窟、種族的省思內容，” Black and White” 開頭用了一段簡短父子的對話開場，接著是一連串的” I'm just a black man trapped in this white world”，充滿著無奈；另一首引起我注意的是"Dear Mr. President"，這是一封寫給總統的信，訴說著黑人與貧民窟的困境，希望有一天總統能看見能改變。 //I'm begging for change but only you can take the tears out my people's eyes// 有人說P的饒舌和用詞技巧不如一線饒舌歌手，在這之下Beats by the Pound在beat上扮演了重要的角色，這張專輯融合了G-funk風格、R&B元素，或許封面財大氣粗，幾首歌的MV充斥的美女和撒錢的片段，但仍是有真情流露，在俗氣和親切之間抓得剛剛好，聽得很是過癮，難怪這張能成為P和No Limit巔峰作。 ** 這張專輯的特別版是有立體印刷版本，手會揮很酷 🎧Favorite song in this album: 1.
