The next item on my list is the Cheshire Cat Angler from @customcrafttools shop. I freakin *love* this thing. Any angled pour, ombré, one pot wonder, or other technique that needs you to pour on an angle instantly calls for this tool! Gone are the days of having to wedge my molds on their sides with dish towels or stacked up bits of wood or rubber, or even a big spatula (that was my go-to for a while for angled pours). The Cheshire Cat lets me put my mold in virtually any angle I want, from just barely tilted to almost completely on its side. It's sturdy and solid and doesn't wiggle or flex around. I personally keep mine screwed pretty tight on each of the sides (you can see the little brass screw in the middle) so that I don't have to use the locking pins, which gives me even more variability in angle, but the angler itself comes with a set of locking pins that slide into the hole at the bottom to lock the moving sides. CCT can sometimes be a little slow to ship, but their products are worth the wait. Christ is born!! This is one of my favorite soaps that I’ve made. The star glows in the dark! I had an issue naming the soap. I knew I wanted it to be called Christ is born. Then I cut it & saw Mary laying down and thought maybe I should call this one “SERIOUSLY MARY? I know you just gave birth and everything but, this is our Lord & Savior and you’re lying down on the job. Sweater Weather. The colors are based off of one of my favorite sweaters. Scented with Sweater Weather from @midwestfragranceco. I’m so in love with this sent. I’m not in love with the discoloration it morphed into😬. That was entirely my fault for not remembering or writing on the bottle that it discolors to tan. This is my very first time doing the @soapchallengeclub🤗 In fact there was a lot of first in this soap. -My very 1st time for the soap challenge. -Very first time doing horizontal lines. -Very first time using the layer spreadsheet that Roxanna created. (Seriously, @capricasoapery thank you so very much for sharing that with everyone🫶🏻) -Very first time using a FO that color morphed. (That didn’t deter me from this scent. In fact, I currently have a bigger bottle of that scent in my cart.) -Very first time doing a very similar soap for the SECOND time in 24hrs. One good to enter into the challenge. -Very first time I literally searched my entire house with a level in hand looking for one level spot. -Where did I find a spot? Great question. In my bedroom on my quilting table. The far right, front kinda center-ish🤌🏼. *Fun fact: an old, rundown, 1920’s cabin built in the Arkansas Ozark’s do not have a level spots anywhere, or nicely square rooms or insulation that’s not newspaper. I’ll post a picture of my uneven natural rock floors in the comments. With that being said. I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else.
