Es öffnet einem die Augen und zeigt wo man sich zuhause fühlen kann und vor allem darf. ❤️🩹 Die Protagonisten Livia und Nicholas sind absolute Herzens Menschen die sich beide auf ihre eigene Art auch in mein eigenes Herz geschlichen haben. Ihre Geschichte hat mein Herz ungefähr fünf mal gebrochen und fünf mal wieder zusammengesetzt denn nach jedem Tief kam ein hoch und das Happy End war absolut verdient. Die Geschichte der beiden ist fesselnd und berührend zugleich. Ich bin nur so durch die Seiten geflogen immer wieder auf der Suche nach diesen Glücksgefühlen jedes Mal wenn Livia und Nicholas sich erneut gefunden haben. Wenn ich ein Beispiel für echte Seelenverwandte nennen müsste, dann würde ich deren Namen sagen, ganz gleich ob es nur im Buche steht. 🥞 Der Schreibstil von der lieben Marie Angel ist super leicht und flüssig zu lesen. Tron Królowej Słońca🌞 W O W. Sięgnęłam po "Tron Królowej Słońca" za namową patronek i wszystkich tik toków, ale nie spodziewałam się, że to będzie tak dobre... Dla mnie na pewno tym, co chwyciło mnie za serce, było podobieństwo do książki "Klejnot", którą kiedyś kochałam. Ale przejdźmy do fabuły, która jest niesamowita. Wszystko zaczyna się w więzeniu, w którym Lor mieszka odkąd skończyła 12 lat. Zostaje ona wrzucona do dołka w mrocznym lesie za karę i porwana stamtąd przez tajemniczego fae... Uwielbiam tę książkę za jej nutkę brutalności. Podczas turnieju autorka nie wahała się zabić trybutek i krwawo opisać akcji. Choć motyw turnieju jest w literaturze bardzo powszechny, uważam, że został dość unikalnie przedstawiony. Sam fakt, że oprócz Lor biorą w nim udział arystokratki nadał temu świetnego klimatu. Mi chyba najbardziej spodobało się ostatnie wyzwanie i niestety nie jestem zadowolona z tego jak zostało urwane :( Wiecie co jest genialne? Że mamy tutaj dual pov, Lor i księcia Zorzy Nadira, a jako wątek romantyczny zostaje nam przedstawiony król Słońca. Drogi Nadira i Lor nie krzyżują się przez długi czas, dlatego tak naprawdę nie wiemy z kim bohaterka będzie! Od samego początku byłam uprzedzona co do króla Słońca... ale z kim wyląduje Lor sami musicie się przekonać "Tron królowej słońca" jest połączeniem Rywalek, Igrzysk Śmierci i Szklanego Tronu, ale mimo to nie odczułam mocnego podobieństwa, a jedynie delikatne zapożyczenia, więc bardzo na plus! Pokochałam tę książkę za emocje, jakie we mnie wywołała. Podczas turnieju bałam się o trybutki, a wiele innych sytuacji wywołało we mnie stres. I przyznam, że od dawna nie czułam takiej chęci, by ciągle tylko czytać. Gdybym dostała 4,5h i wygodną kanapę, to przeczytałabym "Tron Królowej Słońca" za jednym zamachem. Lagioia, nella sua stupenda prosa, ci trascina in questa vicenda macabra e ci costringe a sentire sulla pelle il disagio dei tre protagonisti principali. Sia quello della vittima, barbaramente torturato e ucciso, sia quello dei carnefici, fusi tra loro nei deliri da alcol e cocaina e capaci di togliere la vita a un ragazzo di 23 anni. 📚Finished Read📚 . Recently I read The Book That Broke The World. The Book That Wouldn't Burn was one of my favourite fantasy reads from last year (I had to get the Locked Library Edition when it was reprinted alongside this one) so I was excited to dive back into this story and discover what was next for these characters. This one gives more world building as we see another species POV and some more history of the Library unfold. I love how intricately woven all of the plot points and characters are. We also see some consequences of Livira and Evar's travels from the first book and how these have impacted the story as a whole. There were plenty of plot twists and a mix of adventure, action and politics to keep things interesting. This series is layered with emotion and thought provoking themes and this installment sees some excellent character development especially for Clovis who quickly became more of a favourite for me. Dojrzewanie, to jeden z najtrudniejszych etapów w życiu. Skąd wiem? Bo sama go dość buntowniczo przechodziłam i gdy czasem zdarza mi się myślami wracać do tego okresu, nadal mam ciężko zrozumieć, co mną wtedy kierowało. Książka "The Second Devil" to drugi tom o diabłach i jest oznaczona znakiem "18+". Uważam, że bardzo słusznie. "Ona go nie znosi. On chce ją zniszczyć. To nie brzmi jak wstęp do 'Żyli długo i szczęśliwie'" Mayla Anderson po dwuletniej nieobecności powraca do swojego rodzinnego miasteczka i szkoły, co wcale jej nie cieszy. Otóż szkołą rządzą cztery diabły - grupka chłopaków, którzy nie znają zahamowań i nie cofną się przed niczym. Jednym z nich jest Jason Halton - koszmar Mayli z dzieciństwa. Jest jej sąsiadem i jako dziecko miała nadzieję, że się zaprzyjaźnią, jednak on zamiast przyjaźni zaserwował jej wyśmiewanie, prześladowanie, poniżanie. Chłopak zamienił jej życie w piekło a samoocenę zdeptał do poziomu zerowego. Więc, gdy Mayla powraca, chłopak zamierza kontynuować swoją nienawiść. Jawnie jej to okazuje, jednak coś się zmieniło... A najbardziej zmieniła się Mayla. Nie jest już pulchną dziewczyną, ani płoszącą się zwierzyną. A że od nienawiści do miłości, też jest mały krok, to gdy oboje po mału odkrywają między sobą coś więcej, są równie zaskoczeni. Czy Diabeł wciągnie dziewczynę we własne piekło? Ogólnie cała historia mi się podobała. Oryginalnie ukazana bardzo trudna relacja młodych oraz relacje z rodzicami. Tak jak wspomniałam na początku, dojrzewanie jest bardzo trudne, a bez wsparcia rodziców w tym okresie można mieć niezły bałagan w głowie i w życiu. Mam tylko jedno małe ale - chodzi o język. Jest ogromna ilość wulgaryzmów. Po pewnym czasie mi to przeszkadzało, choć rozumiem, że w całym kontekście młodych i zbuntowanych osób jest to w pewnym stopniu normą. Having decided to rent the property for the whole month of April and escape the dull, grey and rainy realities of their lives, the characters - the affable but scatty Mrs Wilkins, the sad and rather prudish Mrs Arbuthnot, the blunty assertive widow Mrs Fisher and Lady Caroline Dester who is as entrancingly beautiful as she is aloof - gradually learn things about each other and rediscover the happiness in their own lives which they had, at some time, lost. From the off the reader is dropped into the internal monologues of these four distinct protagonists as they first meet, make judgements of each other and equally judge themselves. Initially their verbal exchanges are at times clumsy, brittle or even icy, however over time, as the warm fragrant days lazily drift by, they begin to forge a much better understanding of one another. Following how their views of one another and themselves slowly yield and bend to realisations of their own misjudgements was a highlight of the book for me as were the descriptions of the picturesque coastal Mediterranean setting. Cherry trees, peach trees, figs, olives, blossoms, vine buds, geraniums and wisteria all combine to colour and perfume the terraces and hillsides around them. I found The Enchanted April to be both a unique and interesting book with some gorgeous descriptive writing in it. It was a bestseller when it was released and I can see why. Is it my favourite read of the year so far? No, but as its title suggests it is an enchanting, perfect-for-a-holiday-type book. ✨Otherworldly by FT Lukens✨ FT Lukens has become one of those automatic buy authors for me. I know the stories are going to be lighthearted, well-written, funny, and at the end make me go awwww 🥹❤️. Otherworldly was no different. This book is such a grumpy/sunshine, which I love. Ellery is focused on working and sending money to their family whose farm has been a suffering from a five year winter. Knox is a familiar with so much warmth and positive energy. They strike a bargain and hijinks ensue. I loved ALL the characters in this story. Ellery’s cousin and her girlfriend are funny and adorable. They create this little found family the four of them. The story was fast paced and heartwarming, and SPOILER, there’s a lil Hadestown reference near the end that had me screaming 😂. My one critique of this novel is I felt like it went a little long. There was a certain part where I was thinking it was getting close to wrapping up, but then I realized there was still a lot of book left. Not a bad thing, while the ending was good, it felt a little disjointed from the section where I thought it was ending. Overall though, I enjoyed this one as always with this author. And of course as usual the cover is STUNNING. I highly recommend FT Lukens novels, they’re super cute YA rom-com fantasy that you’ll fall in love with. Book review: Binding 13 by Chloe Walsh 🤍 My rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 1/2 [check TW before reading the book] Small summary 🤍 Johnny Kavanagh is captain of his school’s rugby team and is on the way to becoming a professional player. He’s popular, smart, and friendly. When he accidentally hits Shannon Lynch, the new student, with his ball, their lives intertwine. Johnny knows Shannon’s hiding something, and he wants to know what it is. Will she ever trust him enough to tell him? My review 🤍 I absolutely LOVED it. After seeing so much about this series on social media, I decided to start reading, and I couldn’t even put the book down!! The love story between Shannon and Johnny was amazing, and I loved the slow burn so much. The side characters are also perfectly written, and while it deals with very serious topics, like domestic abuse and bullying, which can be a lot for some people, the author treated them very carefully and appropriately, and from time to time we get some hilarious dialogues between characters that feel like a good break from the seriousness. This novel was so beautifully written and it managed to grip me in the very first chapter!! I’m currently reading book 2, keeping 13, and it’s just as good. What are your plans for the weekend? W tej części mamy jeszcze więcej wątku miłosnego 😉, nie tylko sama Maria, ale również inni będą pod ostrzałem miłości. To było już ostatnie spotkanie z arystokratką, trochę smutno, będę tęsknić za Marią, panią Cichą, Spockiem, Deniską czy panem Józefem. Wspaniała seria, przy której można się na chwilkę oderwać od rzeczywistości, uśmiechnąć się nie raz, nie dwa… lekka i przyjemna lektura, pewnie jeszcze wielokrotnie do niej wrócę. Sziasztok! ❓ Ti olvastátok már/tervezitek? ❓ ✨ Nagyon vártam már, hogy ezt a könyvet is olvassam, és szerencsére nem is kellett benne csalódnom. Nagyon szerettem ezt a részt is. Viszont közben elszomorít a tudat, hogy ennek a sorozatnak így a végére értem, mert a szívemhez nőtt az utóbbi időben. Ennek ellenére csodás lezárást kapott a Twisted Lies-nak köszönhetően. Bár Chirstian és Stella áll a központban, azért a többi szereplő is feltűnik, főleg a regény vége felé. 😊 ✨ Ez a rész nem csak a romantikára fókuszál, hanem a zaklatásra is. Stella életébe visszalép a zaklatója, aki most már durvábban próbál a lány közelébe férkőzni. Ez mellett pedig láthatunk egy lassan kibontakozó szerelmi szálat, amit nagyon élveztem. 𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫 ✶ ⤷ per tutti quelli che ancora non mi conoscono: ciao! sono elisa, ho 18 anni e sono del segno del gemelli (e questo spiega molte, moltissime cose :)) questa pagina è nata quasi 2 anni fa, e dall’ora sono cambiate tante cose, me inprimis, ma anche i feed e la mia bellissima comunity. ho avuto la fortuna di trovare persone magnifiche, che amo con tutta me stessa e che non vedo l’ora di rivedere, un grande grazie va anche a tutti loro che mi hanno supportato e sopportato per tutto questo tempo. non penso di aver mai spiegato il nome della pagina, che viene da una canzone (mermaid bar di maya hawke) ma storia divertente del nome è che insta non me lo voleva prendere, ma io sono una grande zuccona e l’ho messo lo stesso, anche se scritto male. ma credo che alla fine renda questa pagina e me unica, e non lo vedo come un difetto ma come una particolarità. i miei generi letterari preferiti sono in assoluto il fantasy, in tutte le sue forme, ma anche il thriller e l’ horror non mi dispiacciono. ho provato a leggere qualche dark romance sotto consiglio, ma non è assolutamente il mio genere. ma qualsiasi consiglio è ben accetto. per il resto, amo l’arte e la storia e vorrei che un giorno diventi il mio lavoro. amo il gotico, il thriller e il paranormale, insieme a tutto ciò che è mistico, un po’ stile tim burton, per capirsi (che amo da morire tra l’altro :) uno dei miei film preferiti è infatti la sposa cadavere) forse lo sapete o forse no, sono una patita di skin care e make up, anche se non so mettermi neache l’eye liner, stessa cosa vale orecchini e aneli, senza questi non esco. il mio colore preferito è il rosso, e diamolo per scontato ma le ciliegie, profumo e sapore è una delle mie cose preferite. ho due cagnoloni, che ogni tanto avete visto e che rendono le mie giornate piene di coccole e di sport (perché si, corrono, tanto e anche veloce) ⤷ bhe penso che questo sia tutto, o almeno gran parte di me, non vedo l’ora di tornare su questi schermi e non vedo anch l’ora di conoscere anche voi.
