I'm thrilled to finally put my collection of vintage and antique materials to good use. As for silk, it's become my absolute favorite fabric—I can't get enough of how luxuriously soft it feels against the skin!🥰 . The (slip) dress is made from 100 percent silk (120 g/m2) in a greyish purple color. For the upper part, antique lace from the 1920s was used, while for the bottom part, vintage nylon lace from the 1960s was used (both lace patterns are complementary). Shoulder straps are made from vintage rayon braid ribbons, and they are adjustable. Machine embroidery. I really like how the maker for this dress used the vine motif in the fabric to mirror the diagonals on the overlay. Standing up these would then mirror the V at the bottom of the dress.
