Next stop, Pisa 🇮🇹 I've already been here before when I was younger, however it's a convenient stop and a decent Aires on route so it'd be rude not to revisit. I arrived in the afternoon and ordered a pizza to the Aires 🍕😁 worked a treat even with the language barrier with the delivery driver 🛵 Continuing the theme of evening visits to busy places I grabbed an E-scooter once it'd got dark and headed towards the leaning tower 🛴 it's a 30 min walk from the Aires but only 10 mins by scooter 😆 cost me €7 one way (3 miles). An meinem letzten Tag in Florenz bin ich noch einmal früh aufgestanden und bin um 7 Uhr mit dem Zug nach #Pisa gefahren. In 1 1/2 Stunden ist man da. Es war noch früh genug, um vor den Touristenströmen sich ein wenig umzusehen. Seit 1987 ist das Dreier-Ensemble Schiefer Turm, der Dom von Pisa und das Baptisterium UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe. Mich überraschte dann doch, wie schief ersterer wirklich ist - ich hatte das Gefühl, dass er jeden Moment umkippen könnte. Da der Dom erst um 10 Uhr öffnete, suchte ich mir zunächst in einer der Nebenstraßen ein kleines Cafe zum Frühstück und machte mich dann noch einmal auf, um das Innere des Doms zu besichtigen. Auch ein beeindruckendes Erlebnis. Height: 54.86 m Diameter: 34.13 m. The Pisa Baptistery is an example of the transition from the Romanesque style to the Gothic style; the lower section is in the Romanesque style, with rounded arches, while the upper sections are in the Gothic style, with pointed wimpergs and a rich figurative program.
