Secret Bee Holes We have checked out for many years a section of beach dune on our walks with the dogs. Certain times of the year digger bees or some similar type of bee, dig holes in the dune sand, flying in and out doing who knows what in there. We supposed they must be getting ready for winter or perhaps making compartments for their young. The sound of many bees buzzing around in this protected dune hollow is mesmerizing. I was thinking the other day about all the holes not only bees make, but other animals too, digging large burrows and tunnels into the earth. This is happening all over the earth, all the time. What if these are not actually burrows but tubes to another world or dimension? Small wormholes or a better name here would be beeholes. The bee is able to move through the portal at any time to return to its native world out in the universe. They have come to earth as a benefit to the world with their pollination exploits while also taking small amounts of materials not native to their world back with them. Both sides benefit. Perhaps new viruses that appear randomly on earth are opportunistic viruses that hitch a ride unknowingly on the fur and legs of burrowers as they return from their travels through the universe. The finding of new species of animal and insect from time to time may just be unknown species from these different worlds finding their way through one of these portals. Since I can never stop my mind once it gets up to speed, I wondered if some time in the future when we have truly screwed up the world even more than we are doing now that the tunnel diggers will have to shut us down in some manner, perhaps keep us in check to protect their most valuable resource, planet Earth. I envision this day. The air and ground erupting everywhere with creatures big and small, the noise deafening as they swarm the world, offering us humans the knowledge to live in peace, or if not, they will take us on a wild, tumulus ride to our own extinction. ✨The Coma Cluster (Abell 1656) For an amateur eye, this may seem like a photograph of the night sky with many stars, but if you look closer, you may notice some blurry, distorted, elongated objects. These are not stars; these are galaxies, just like our Milky Way! Now that you see it, you realize they are everywhere, all over the photo. This is the Coma Cluster in the constellation Coma Berenices. It is a massive galaxy cluster where more than 1000 galaxies have been identified, all being pulled together by gravitational force. They may seem small and blurry; that’s because you are looking at objects that are located approximately 320 million light-years away. I collected almost 4 hours worth of photographs (3 minutes exposure each), all combined into that final picture some days ago at Astrorama Parsec. The last picture is an annotated version of the photo, where you can see the astonishing amount of large galaxies identified in that region (not even all of them are registered). Karl Schwarzschild (1873–1916) foi um físico e astrônomo alemão que fez as contribuições fundamentais para a teoria dos buracos negros. Em 1916, apenas alguns meses depois de Albert Einstein publicar sua teoria da relatividade geral, Schwarzschild usou a nova teoria para derivar uma solução matemática que descrevia o campo gravitacional em torno de um objeto esfericamente simétrico. Essa solução, agora conhecida como “equação de Schwarzschild”, ainda é usada hoje para descrever o espaço-tempo em torno de buracos negros não rotativos. A solução de Schwarzschild mostrou que se um objeto tivesse massa suficiente e colapsasse sobre si, poderia formar uma região do espaço onde a atração gravitacional seria tão forte que sua velocidade de escape superaria a velocidade da luz. Você não, bicho! Você sabe o que é o terraplanismo? Terraplanismo é um termo anti-científico e negacionista utilizado para explicar que a Terra é plana. É uma teoria conspiratória que seria baseada em algumas passagens da Bíblia, em dados sem comprovação da ciência e na imaginação de seus adeptos. Aristóteles, em 350 a.C, já sabia que a Terra era um globo. O filósofo grego indicava que as constelações apresentavam visões diferentes dependendo da latitude. Quando observamos um barco singrando na direção do horizonte, percebemos que ele desaparece gradualmente, do casco à ponta da vela, ou seja, de baixo para cima. Este fenômeno se dá porque a Terra é redonda. O navegador Fernão de Magalhães tinha apontado esse fenômeno no século XVI a partir da sua viagem de circunavegação. Apesar das comprovações científicas e até mesmo da observação natural de qualquer leigo, o terraplanismo persiste. Este conceito contra-científico percorreu toda a Idade Média e aterrou o vasto conhecimento produzido na Grécia Antiga. Mas, infelizmente, até nos dias de hoje, o terraplanismo se encontra presente. Apesar de considerado como algo superado, o terraplanismo ganhou novos tons em 2014. Naquele ano, seus adeptos ganharam popularidade nos Estados Unidos. Isso ocorreu após a publicação de um arquivo em PDF de 35 páginas apresentando 200 provas de que a Terra era plana. Seu autor, Eric Dubay, é professor universitário e fundador da Sociedade Internacional de Pesquisa sobre a Terra Plana. Posteriormente, o livro tornou-se um vídeo que tem milhares de visualizações em mídias sociais. De acordo com esta organização, as agências espaciais promovem uma grande conspiração falsificando explorações e viagens ao espaço.
