There has been a disconnection from the Earth, and through that disconnection there has been a disconnection from the Self - the Soul. The sacredness is lost to many and it is very plain to see. I am going to say something that is probably not of popular opinion....but I can't stay quiet any longer and as a Priestess I am oath bound to correct certain things that are incorrect, especially that which is associated with my path. In no way, fashion, or form are Pagans supposed to be Liberal - Democrat, or Republican for that matter. If someone is telling you that to be Pagan you must be liberal they are misleading you. The political realm has no business in Paganism, we have our own politics to deal with. Pagans are NOT Marxist, socialist, or communist. Pagans are all for freedom; freedom of religion, freedom of speech (even if we dont agree, as we know if one is quieted we all are), and we are sovereign. I have been in conversations with many people who think that Pagans are Marxists because of the misinformation that many circulate within our community. Pagans lived outside of the cities, off to themselves, and lived in their own type of community/tribes/clans. We are sovereign! I wrote this in 2013, wow what all has transpired since! I was met on a wooded path by Lillith, who lead me to a small body of water. Through this water mirror I am shown many things. There is work to be done there, things to transmute out of the intense energy we are having. The emotions, feelings, anger, frustration, resentment..our shadow. We are taught that these things are bad and we should not go there, but we must. We must have that balance within ourselves. We are to allow those hidden things in us to surface, to face this fear deep within us...to become whole. As I sit here watching the storms roll in I am contemplating about all that is going on within our world and the US. I have been on my spiritual path for quite awhile, a lot longer than many have been alive quite honestly, and what I am seeing is a bit disturbing. Many of us have seen these days coming and have been watching it all unfold. Even astrology has been telling us of these times. And I will say it's a bit heartbreaking to see some of those on spiritual paths that have been having really hard times. We are in a new age, the Age of Aquarius where we are trusted forward with bigger and better ideas. But first, what needs to be released and healed needs to be released and healed. But what really gets me is the whole "my magic is stronger than yours" or "my ancestors are better than yours"....really?? These types of statements/thoughts totally miss the mark. As this concept is a part of that old programming that needs to be released as well. No one, including myself, is better than anyone...we are all different and have our own unique energetic expressions. Sure many of us are on different levels of knowledge, but again no better no worse. The thing here is when you do Spell work, when you work with magic its looks at the caster and you will be subjected to that energy as well. This is when you need to make sure your slate is clean because if you have things you need to face you will face them. I have watched many people burn themselves with these sorts of actions, so be careful. Shoot, I see many brand new to the Craft doing workings that they have no business working...but that is their lessons. Working with magic requires a lot of introspection and to know how to work those elements within. Just offering some words of advice to hopefully help you on your path. Be conscious. There's so many to who use this title to describe themselves but have never truly walked the path of the Craft. Many do not even understand what that word truly means. Nowadays, it seems to be the 'in' thing to be, or maybe use it as a form of rebellion. But the word Witch is drenched in the blood of many women, children, and men. To walk with a seasoned Witch (Crone preferably) and tap into the teachings of the mysteries, to walk with each element and balance them within, to learn the plants, listen to the whispers of the wind, to be consumed and forged in the flame, to be cleansed in the water, and be truly grounded in the Mother! LAGUZ Water, flow, that which conducts “Our future selves call us from infinite pasts, and each night are eroded with our dreams.” This represents our emotions, love, the unconscious, our dreams, intuition, astral plane, evolution. The Craft has become very watered down since it has become mainstream. The word Witch is thrown around like it's just a title. And to be honest and truthful, this word is a Christian word and not a good one. This word actually comes from the authentic word 'Wicce, Wicca' as the 'cc' is pronounced 'cha', and its gender specific. The statements of some one having crystals and reading tarot and dressing like a Hollywood character does NOT make you a Witch, it makes you a wanna be. There is a lot of work in it, as well as training.....it has been. The Occult path isnt for everyone, that's why its hidden knowledge- or supposed to be, and it's not for mainstream. Good morning Starshines! I am guessing you all know that Mercury is retrograde and he will be retrograde from oct 31 (at 11:41am et) - nov 20, 2019 (2:12pm et)...now 2 wks before and 2 wks after it is considered Mercury’s shadow time. Mercury retrograde (Rx) has become quite the buzz, but many do not really understand what it is about. They only understand the "miscommunication" or the concept of whatever can go wrong will. I want us to see it in a different light because retrogrades are actually a gift to us. You see the planets are not "out to get us", they are completely neutral and do not cause things to happen to us - they simply explain the underlying energy that we might be feeling at a certain time. Retrogrades are completely normal, and actually, give us a time to go inward and pull our energy back to us a bit. So I want to explain this a bit so you don't feel panicked or anxious about this time. Remember you are in charge of yourself, and I want to help you make the most of these energies. Mercury went retrograde on October 31, 2019 in Scorpio (24 degrees) and will travel backwards in Scorpio (to 12 degrees), then on November 20th he will station and proceed . Now there are many blessings of retrogrades; is it helps us see what we have missed, helps us get clarity on those things we need clarity on, helps us see where we need to slow down, and helps us declutter our lives a bit. When life gets busy and hectic, there are things we miss, maybe we have been focusing too much on the little things instead of looking at the bigger picture. Mercury is the fastest moving planet and it associated with our mind and traveling. Retrogrades simply help us slow down for a minute. Now sure other planets go retrograde as well. In fact, planets go retrograde for nearly a ⅓ of the year, Mercury goes retrograde 3-4 times per calendar year. When a planet is retrograde, it is the closest to the Earth. So with the outer planets their energy is more subtle, but the energy is long term being felt for many years in our future. Blessed Tyr's day to you all! Although the Norse god Tyr (Proto-Germanic Tiwaz) is not very well-known, such as Odin and Thor. But Tyr is a part of the Aesir tribe in the Norse pantheon, and some claim Tyr is one of the bravest of the Norse gods. His bravery is very evident in the best-known myth about him, the Binding of Fenrir. Although his war aspect was pretty much taken over by Odin and Thor, Tyr still stood for law and justice. Interestingly in Sigrdrífumál, one of the poems in the Poetic Edda, the Valkyrie Sigrdrifa instructs the human hero Sigurd to invoke Tyr for victory in battle. The Roman's equated him with their War God Mars, which is how we have Tuesday- Tyrs day ( day of Mars), as they held Tyr with great importance. One thing with Gods of war or battle that many overlook is their passion, as they do have great passion. Today has an air of silence, so it feels like the scales are being weighed. There is a quietness and stillness that comes with the moment of rest. Take time to weigh things out today, consider all details.
