Erev Shabbat Shalom! 'The Feast of Unleavened Bread' went really great.. we closed out the readings this week with Ephesians 4, 1 Corinthians 15 and 2 Samuel 22. I hope you'll give these a read. I think the order I've put them in will give some more clarity at a spiritual level. Hey everyone! This post and the next two will be the three part article I've written for PJP! Enjoy! :) The wonderful blessing of living in the land of the free and home of the brave! As citizens of this incredible American experiment, both people who've been fortunate enough to have been born here and those who have emigrated and gone through the naturalization process, we've certainly been treated to an exceptional existence.. Being a citizen of a 'Democratic Republic' affords the ability to - once reaching the age of 18 - vote for representation in government. An awesome 'superpower' has arisen largely because of our representative government that allows everyone a voice.. every citizen except for us, of course? What about me? I have personally spent the last 18 years of my life (now 36 years of age) entrenched in geopolitical affairs and have made a point of maintaining a role in domestic and foreign policy advisement since my honorable discharge from the Air Force at the age of 19. I haven't allowed this time of incarceration to thwart the influence I seek to have on the global stage.. but what about those around me who have never served in government and have an opinion on the representation that they wish to see? Their family members - especially those with children - on the streets? For their own future incarceration / potential for reforms resulting in reduced sentencing by those in state leadership. We've had this idea of writing about voting rights in this incredibly important Presidential election year floated to us at just the right time.. and, as someone who writes regularly to exert political influence, I had to take advantage of the opportunity.. if for no other reason than to set the record straight about the incarcerated people I live around and the percentage variation of LIVs (low information voters) within these walls as opposed to those who live out there on the streets. HAPPY PASSOVER! PESACH HAS COME! :) (written for April 22/14 Nisan) May we all praise God for His redemptive power as we remember His mighty Hand rescuing the Hebrews from Egyptian captivity! May we remember this moment in the course of history, when such vitriol was thrown in the face of House Speaker James Michael Johnson! When divisive individuals sought to thwart our success - the security of Isra'el, Ukraine, Taiwan AND America - he stepped up and did the right thing at the right time to be the force for global stability during an era of increasingly chaotic dictatorships.. God bless you Speaker Johnson! It is so sad that the world is in the condition it is.. I will do my very best to continue pressing for the human rights and freedoms we enjoy in The United States of America to be embraced by the governments of this world, and enjoyed by her people. At the end of the day, we are all God's children.. and unity is what He desires.. I often explain to people that individual 'truths' could never be the intended state of our world.. and that 8 billion people having different religious ideologies is the product of Satanic deception and confusion.. which only leads to destruction.. Our Nation's founders were well aware of the importance of having a proper perspective in governance.. to worship 'Nature's God' (Yud-Heh-Vav-Heh / Yahweh) in 'Spirit and in Truth' through recognition of the inescapable moral and ethical responsibilities that must be reflected in our national legal system. Removal of, and distancing from Judeo-Christian values and principles is simply the acceptation of Satanism as the new national religion (Progressivism). Upon leaving prison, individuals should be afforded a fresh start; however, for many returning citizens, this transition introduces a myriad of new obstacles. The reintegration process can be daunting for numerous reasons, leading a significant portion of individuals to reoffend and return to incarceration. Despite ongoing efforts in prison reform, the recidivism rate in the United States remains alarmingly high at 70% within 5 years of release. It is imperative to enhance rehabilitation programs and support systems to break this cycle and facilitate successful reentry into society. Together, we can create the change we so desperately need!
Passover 'Lamb' selection day! (10 Nisan / 4/18) Might I recommend to all 'Orthodox' Jews that today be the day when they select Christ Jesus - Y'shua HaMashiach - as their spotless Lamb? If Israel desires salvation and relief from this current regional turmoil, we are going to need the Orthodox community to have a 'come to Jesus' moment.. Scholars believe that this is the only thing we can do to actually 'hasten' the Lord's return.. getting Jewish people to accept that their Jewish Messiah has already come, and that His Name is Jesus (Y'shua). Readings for today: Exodus 12:1-5 Joshua 3:1-4:24 Matthew 21:1-17 1 Corinthians 5:6-8 (I always read the whole chapter - reading two verses kinda misses the context) The parashah readings for this week include Malachi chapters 3 and 4 as well - very great readings.. If you only want to read a little, I would focus on these first. On another note, I was listening to #BeckyG and in her song 'Shower' she sings about a guy being her 'Homie', lover and friend.. - While I am not the Homie she is referring to, I would like YOU to listen to that song and have it be relatable.. I mean.. what kind of man would I be if I didn't want a woman singing about me in the shower? I love the idea of being loved.. Our most vulnerable population (CHILDREN), are being drastically impacted by the prison system. We have so many awesome goals in mind to help support these kiddos and create resources for them, but let me tell you about our current project! “Bonding Through Books” is a program we hope to bring into as many prisons as possible! During prison visits, it is often difficult for all children (especially the young ones!) to sit still at the table and carry on a conversation with their loved one (If you know, you know!). Through this children’s literature program, we strive to build connection, create an environment of healing and love between the two family members, and start the beginning steps of a strong and bonded relationship between both child and parent! What we need: 📚Book donations 💰Monetary donations specifically for @uline_shippingsupplies book carts which are prison approved 👫 Volunteers to help connect with prisons and get these programs started all across the country Once these programs are set up and started, we foresee a self-sustaining system as books rotate in and out. Blessings to you all as we approach Pesach! (Passover! April 22!) Throwback picture for a serious post! :) I hope you will read my previous posts to understand me at a deeper level.. Due to some logistical issues, I will not be posting until later in the week. I love you all so much and am overwhelmed by the outpouring of compassion being expressed.. your choosing to reach out to me while I am behind bars.. to follow me.. like my posts / comments.. is just such a huge boost to my personal and familial morale! To know that we are doing something of such tremendous impact, something so much larger than ourselves - DURING INCARCERATION.. - is just beyond awesome. I see this recent earthquake in New Jersey as something of deep spiritual significance.. It transpires right in Lebanon, NJ? Just as Israel and Lebanese Hezbollah take their military conflict to new heights? Right before a significant total solar eclipse? We remember the eclipse in 2017 that cut across the US from West to East, and now we have one X'ing out America from South to North? All while Israel takes out this top Quds Force General of the IRGC in Damascus and we make preparations for any scenario of escalation with Iran or her many proxies.. The economy is getting back on track, 3.2% growth is great given the global dynamic.. but this flood of people from the southern border is a difficult issue that needs to be taken care of in short order, or the amount of pressure it will place on our already struggling humanitarian support infrastructure will be far too much to cope with should we have an additional foreign war engagement.. and OUR CHIEF ADVERSARIES KNOW THIS! “Post-incarceration syndrome (PICS) is a psychiatric disorder that affects individuals who have been incarcerated and then are released back into society. It is characterized by a range of psychological, emotional, and social difficulties that can arise as a result of being imprisoned. These difficulties can include depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), difficulty adjusting to life outside of prison, and difficulty forming and maintaining relationships.” (National Incarceration Association) What can help curve the negative effects of PCIS? ❤️🩹 Access to mental health treatment ❤️🩹 Education and job training ❤️🩹 Peer support ❤️🩹 More resources and support during reentry ❤️🩹 Reducing the stigma ❤️🩹 Easier access to housing Change doesn’t always happen overnight, but as a community we can take the needed steps to making a different in the lives of these individuals and their families and they learn to transition back into society!
Happy World Library Day! The purpose of a prison’s library is to provide educational and recreational resources to prisoners. Oftentimes, prison libraries are not the top priority of administrators and they usually get neglected, with few books and not enough availability. One of Peaceful Prison Project’s objectives is to help provide a wide variety of reading material for both inmates and children who come to visit their loved ones in prisons. We believe in the power of literature as a tool to spark relationship bonding and rehabilitation. Every donation today will be specifically allocated towards providing children’s book in prison visiting areas for inmates to bond over with their kiddos and loved ones!
Happy Autism Awareness Day! Offenders with ASD can be easy prey to pranks, bullying, and being defrauded. In a prison setting, offenders with ASD are not only subjected to being bullied and potentially extorted, but they are also subjected to being ostracized by peers because of their unsual behaviors, tics, and social awkwardness. We would love to see more resources brought into prisons for those who are on the spectrum, to help empower and protect their unique needs and abilities.
