First tastes of lamb today ๐ Cockapoos are renowned for being 'fussy eaters', but often I think it's just a fluctuating appetite. It can cause new owners no end of stress and worry when their little one refuses their food - even if it's something they loved yesterday! The puppies can be a little like that - some meals disappear in moments, some don't get finished, some are somewhere in between. Watching their interest in the first video I thought they weren't going to bother with this meal, but all 3 bowls were licked clean within about 10 minutes. Often the key is just to relax and ease the mealtime pressure. If we panic and swap foods every time a pup decides not to eat a meal, it'll never end! Fooood glorious foooood! Usually when pups start weaning I give them just one meal a day for the first few days. But the Gooseberries so ravenously consumed their entire breakfast that I decided to give them dinner as well - and they polished off every last morsel of that too! We wean onto a raw diet, so far today they have scoffed a full pound of boneless chicken mince between them.
