I ordered some @inglot_cosmetics Duraline to use with this black shadow to make it easier and more long lasting when using it as a liner. I haven’t tried it with a wing yet, because there is a bit of a learning curve and it is a bit more time consuming to scrap off some shadow and mix with the Duraline each time. I’m trying to catch up on some #palettebreakdown posts, so you get another one this week! This is the Jungle Princess (they couldn’t come up with a better name??) palette from @makeuprevolution and their Lion King collab. I thought the color story was super fun, but the purples in here were not great. The matte is powdery and not very pigmented, whereas the shimmer doesn’t pack as much of a punch as the others. This is the @morphebrushes Sweet Oasis Eyeshadow Palette. I got this palette and the collection from Morphe when I won a giveaway. I really like the color story of this palette. The mattes are nice and they blend well. I feel like this palette is one of the better Morphe Palettes. The shimmers are nice not a high shine finish that I like but it does the job. I really like the blue and the light pink looks. I love that you can make some neutral looks and colorful looks with this palette and have some great colors to use. Using Abh primrose palette. I really wanted this palette for the “peony” color. It’s the second from the top in the swatch pic. I still really like that one eyeshadow, but I think this palette is hard to apply well. The formula is very nice and blendable, just the red or pink color makes my eyes look swollen. Also website said 9 colors are not intended to use in the eye area. This statement is mainly for liability. Other brands, like colorpop, also have the same statement. It just means some of the color can stain the skin or cause allergic reactions. Even though I knew that, it still makes me feel nervous. It didn’t cause any staining or allergy for me, but I still feel uncomfortable to always use that. 🚨 New Touch of Glam 🚨 Hey yall, hope everyone’s having a good week. It’s been a while since I’ve had new @touchofglambeauty shades so I’m super excited about these. This post is part 1 bc there are 21 shades total in an array of different formulas. I don’t think I’ll have room to touch on each shade individually so I’m gonna try go over them by formula. All of the ones that have holo in the name are holographic multis. TOG makes some of the best holo shadows. We have really pretty purple to pink, a red to orange and a really nice taupe pink to green type of shade. These are the same or similar to her other holos, they’re really smooth with a ton of fine holo particles and nice shifts. There are also some mattes, a really deep cool brown and a black in this set, but there’s some more colorful ones for part 2. These are my first tog mattes, I haven’t used them in a look yet but based on how they feel and swatch I have really high hopes for them. Formula wise they kinda remind me of TM, soft and highly pigmented. Oh Biscuits is a birthday formula shade which is my fav formula from TOG, it’s a Champaign with a pink base, a blue shift and lots of sparkle. There are more birthday formula shades in part 2. Roses are dead is a true red metallic. Sweet Revenge is a smooth shifter, a purple to green. Formula is similar to the unnamed collection. The Gobling Goblin is a deep iridescent and I LOVE this shade. My pictures do not do it justice, some of these are hard to show how pretty they are because there’s so much multicolored sparkle that’s hard to catch. I guess I’d say it’s a tan base with a bluish green shift and a ton of pink silver and blue sparkles. It’s a really unique shade imo. These release on May 1st. The last @makeuprevolution x Friends 9-pan palette in my collection is the Rachel variation. I don’t find that any of these shadows were necessarily duds, but only one really stands out to me, and that’s the bright pink shade, Push Over. This is the one I was most excited about in this palette, and it held up. It is bright, pigmented, and blends well. The other shades are not bad, but nothing particularly special. If you’ve been following along with my #palettebreakdown posts, you’ll notice I don’t have the Ross 9-pan. Si after my rant the other day I am feeling better. Sometimes you just need to blow off steam.
