C'était notre deuxième fois à Maui, et c'est une île où je ressens quelque chose de spécial. Un bien être incroyable. Nous avons passé une semaine en tente et j'ai été vraiment triste de partir. J'avais une boule au ventre en voyant les jours défiler et passer si vite, nous rapprochant de plus en plus du départ. C'est une sensation difficile à expliquer. Red sands beach, Santorini. There were signs up saying about danger, high risk of death. A cliff side walk with instant drop to the left and landside risk to the right. Walked far enough along to not fancy tempting fate. Honest opinion. Overhyped. Not much sand or beach area, tide comes up more or less to underneath the cliff. People were actually sunbathing under the cliff while pebbles gently tumbled and made their way down forever threatening a landslide in the howling wind. Santorini is an island so winds can be high and fast. They were on this day. Exploring was fine but sometimes you don't need to reach the end to fully explore the destination. The Road to Hana. Maui, Hawaii. With its 620 curves, 46 one-lane bridges, and 64.4 miles of non-stop tropical beauty, it's the sort of place dreams, nightmares, or sports car commercials are made of. Have you had the pleasure of driving it? We did! In a red Camaro (convertible, of course), we: * marveled at rainbow eucalyptus trees * took selfies at Upper Waikani Falls (aka Three Bears Falls) * ate banana bread every few miles and coconut ice cream at the roadside Coconut Glen's yellow truck * swam in the waterfall at Pua'a Ka'a State Wayside Park and at the black-sand beach of Wai'anapanapa State Park * wandered off the beaten path to the gorgeous red-sand Koki Beach * ventured onward to the back side of the island and the hands-down scariest section of road one may ever drive on * were rewarded with sweeping views of the coastline * got a flat tire near the windmills (no spare in sight), where we waited for HOURS for a VERY expensive tow (and congratulated ourselves for wisely investing in the $17 rental insurance) That's us, always going farther. 【ハナ情報】 きのうコロナ以降、初めてハナに行ったら色んなものが変わっていました。 ワイアナパナパ州立公園は予約がないと入れません。アクセス道路もかなり傷んでいました。 レッドサンドビーチは侵入すると逮捕されます。 ビーナスプールはハナ牧場の管轄外になり、停める場所がなく、その管理はある民間の組織が執り行っており仲間割れが起こっています。 キパフルを抜けるバックロードは地元以外は通行禁止(期間限定)です。 ハナツアーは聖なる七つの池にパイア方面から行きと同じ道を戻るコースなので午後発でハナへ行くとツアーバスとのすれ違いで苦労すると思います。 またその道は行きに土砂崩れが2ヶ所あり、相変わらず走りにくかったです(早朝は要注意)。 #マウイ島 #ハナ情報 #waianapanapa #redsandbeach #venouspool #kipahulu #backroadhana #alohanomaui

My favorite spot in Maui. The red sand beach idk what the name was but it was so nice and peaceful. The sand was literally red I thought it was red dirt but to my surprise it was actual red sand and gravel. Just sucks that the beach is enclosed so the shellfish(mostly crabs) were harboring the shallow waters where i swam. So I broke out in hives. It was itchy uncomfortable and annoyed me. But that’s life it ain’t perfect. I just appreciate the beauty in nature that I got to experience! Appreciate more than you hate even if the experience wasn’t exactly perfect. Why it’s on my list: Growing up spending summers in Wasaga Beach (the longest freshwater beach in the world), I was spoiled by the crystal blue, shallow waters of Georgian Bay and it’s wonderful sandy beaches. The beaches, however, are the typical brown sand - you might get a swirl of black if you dig deep while you’re making sand castles, but that’s really it. What a dream it would be to experience all the other kinds of beaches out there in the world. Did you know that there were beaches with pink, black and red sand ((which can be found in lots of places in North and South America/ Asia and Europe). Sun setting at Xi Beach🌅 Save this beautiful spot for your Kefalonia trip! This beach is red-sanded, surrounded by white cliffs. Fun fact: the natural clay from the cliffs actually makes a great skin mask. The water is crystal clear, and you can watch the sunset beautifully from this point. Sacred Red Sand Beach, Maui. Feel super blessed to have camped there for a night! When we arrived to Maui @thepsychedelicalchemist said "one place I really want to go to is Red Sand Beach" Showed @nolandaly and I a pic and we were like yes please. The we each had a friend individually say we should camp there. Off we went to make dreams a reality. When we hiked out this site on a Friday morning, they had folks with a booth officially closing down access to the trail due to land slides. We were informed the weekend prior that a fellow in his late twenty slipped and had to be helicoptered out. Since then Hana has had flash floods and Red Sands landslides.
