Universe, you magnificent matchmaker! ✨ My "World of Inspiration" workshop from 12 years ago? It was just a handful of sessions, but something special bloomed amongst us all. Well, we just had a reunion today. Reuniting with these incredible souls who participated in that workshop was pure magic. The connections we made back then are still so strong, and catching up on everyone's journeys was an inspiration and full of pure love. And talk about perfect timing. As you know, I'm embarking on a new adventure with my own brand for the first time in my life, and the energy and support from this phenomenal woman group were like a cosmic energy burst. There's another story about a recent experience in Portugal: My first retreat of seven days, Falling in Love with Life again. I'm still not yet ready to write about it. It was a Wow one (stay tuned for a separate post), but for now, I just had to share the pure joy of reconnecting with these fantastic girlfriends. It’s been 18 years since we last met each other and I still remember vividly how we used to play badminton together at the roadside outside our old house and playing bicycle with his children when they were still young. In a blink of an eye, he is already a Public Health Specialist and the current Ketua Penolong Pengarah Kanan Kesihatan Negeri Sabah, playing a pivotal role in curbing covid cases in Sabah during the pandemic season and I am already a Medical Officer in Sports Medicine. His children are going to work as house officers soon, Owh how time flies ! “New Friends may be poems but old friends are alphabets. 🥹 FEEL GOOD STORY 🥹 This sweet baby was picked up with some major medical issues. It was quickly discovered because of a microchip and some pretty good investigative work by one of our Hopewell Police Department telecommunications operators that this dog had went missing in November 2022 from North Carolina. That’s right! North Carolina! We contacted the owner who confirmed that they never found her and they could only assume that she had been taken or killed. So imagine their disbelief when we said we had her. They immediately hit the road and came to Virginia to pick up their baby girl. HIGHLAND PARK, CA- REUNITED Oreo, a sweet and lovable pup, had been separated from his family in Highland Park. Miraculously, he was found and taken in by a kind stranger, Susie Macias. Having recently lost her dog, she and her husband fell in love with Oreo. He was a complete love bug. Susie posted a found dog ad on Craigslist, without a photo, but described the dog as large and black and white. I knew it had to be Oreo. I texted her Oreo's photo and she confirmed it was him. Despite the distance between me in Alabama and Oreo's family in California, I was determined to reunite them. However, when I tried to contact Oreo's owners, I encountered a hurdle - they weren't responding to my texts on Nextdoor, Pawboost and Facebook, likely due to the cross-country distance and potential phone number compatibility issues. Scammers now make it tough for pet owners to trust anyone. Undeterred, I came up with a creative solution. I sent the finder to Oreo's possible family's last known address, hoping they still lived there. Thankfully, they did!! Oreo's family was elated. The distance that once seemed insurmountable was bridged by kindness, determination, and a little creativity. I am grateful for the compassion of Oreo's finder, and for the happiness that followed by reuniting Oreo with his family.
